silmarilion has released GameMusicGear MX Release Candidate 2.0 and it's got more bugfixes and optimizations. But some of the tweaks would be the added support for 48 khz songs and a visualizer selector in full screen mode. Do check out what's in the full list after the jump.Download: GameMusicGear MX Release Candidate 2.0 Discuss: PSP Development Forums |

If you're not too fond of the fact that JRPGs are currently dominating the RPG seas, then you may want to check out homebrew developer _df_'s new project, Fishguts. Slated to use a classic AD&D gold box combat scheme, Fishguts just may be the homebrew RPG fix that you've been needing for a long time.Download: Fishguts (test version) Visit: QJ PSP Development Forums |

Indie developer Wildcat (known for Mortal Kombat Zero The Chaotic Wind) has suddenly reemerged from the dark, and with news on his new game Chosun Musa: Chosun Hokeouk Geumlok. What a mouthful, eh? Anyway, as his interview with GPzigi stood as his some kind of welcome back interview, it was definitely interesting to learn more about the game's development. Now, Chosum Musa is actually intended originally for the PC and GP32, with the latter having already been scratched off. But what's interesting is the possibility that it will come to the PSP. If that's the case, then cool! 2D fighters are always welcome for the PSP, right? Anyway, here's what Wildcat had to say when asked if he will convert Chosun Musa's first episode, Blazing Whirlwindy Musa, to PSP or other handhelds in the future: It is impossible to plan for the future. Converting the game for Mobile or GBA, or PSP, is just impossible. Because Chosun Musa is not a game which has 'massive rendering' or 'many loading screens'. But several years of 2D graphic libraries are in this game. So much time, so much work, so many frames, so many moves in the 2D graphics. I WILL NEVER make any 3D game. If we have money and enough free hands, I may be able to convert something... If I still Iike the PSP when I publish this game... (emphasis theirs) But why, oh why, will you ever find a reason to stop liking the PSP? |

Four months of being silent sure is a hard feat to do. And to make up for lost time and opportunity, we are happy to tell you that the triumvirate of Joost, Thomas and Paolo, have recently updated ScummVM, to v0.9.1. If it's been too long since the last update and you do not have an idea what is this all about, ScummVM is a program that allows you to run certain classic graphical, point-and-click adventure games. This release is home to major bugfixes and some improvements. Plus, three additional platforms are now said to be officially supported: Nintendo DS, GP2X, and GP32. The bugfixes are the following:

Yearning for the good old days when you'd spend hours playing Super Smash
Bros on your N64? Do you miss laughing your heart out whenever you
would play as Pikachu, the electrocuting creature that manages to beat
the oh-so large Giant Donkey Kong? Missing the hours spent making the
seemingly weak Kirby defeat the intimidating Master Hand boss?If you would recall, developer mATkEUpON has ported the game from N64 to other handheld platforms such as GP32 and GP2x. However, it's been been awhile since we have heard of his recent developments with the Super Smash Brothers port from GP32 to PSP. His most recent update was back in September with SmashGpsp v0.2b for PSP. While there's no recent updates on the port, mATkEUpON has released the source code for the SmashGpsp. Those who are itching to make some modifications and improvements would welcome this bit of Super Smash info. Download: [SmashGPsp Source Code] |
