PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Again and again, over the past few months, we heard the PSP labeled as dying and, in some cases, already dead. Of course, Sony kept saying, "No it's not. Just wait until 2009!", but hey, we hardened gamers can recognize a line when we see one, right? Turns out it wasn't just a line. Now the future of our beloved handheld seems pretty bright thanks to the announcement of a whole slew of big PSP titles that are all supposed to come out this year. Keep reading for another edition of the PSP Weekend Warrior!

Sony Pulls Plug on Go!Messenger - Image 1After only a year of service, Europe's Go!Messenger service will be shutting down. Bad news for gamers in Europe who liked the service, and bad news for other regions who were hoping to get it. On the brighter side of things, Sony says they have more services planned for the Go!Cam.

Thumb - Image 1Last week saw the spread of rumors of the appearance of a new line in the PSP franchise. While there's not much solid information to work with for now, last week's runabout did give us plenty of food-for-thought on what the PSP-3000 may carry if it does exist. Wondering what sort of features I had in mind? Visit the full article for the rest of my two cents!

PSP Skype, Go!Messenger icon enabled in FW3.90 - Image 1Well, folks, we've finally found an official English press release for PSP Firmware 3.90, and it's for Europe this time. In addition to the announcement of Skype for the PSP, they also mentioned one little addition in the firmware update that should be of interest to people who can't use Skype: the Go!Messenger icon.

Yep. Not the actual application, mind you. The ICON. More on this after the jump!

Thanks to Shinbu-Otaku for the tip!
