In keeping with the Halloween spirit, homebrew developer Nicovideo has released a special edition of The Paparazzi RC homebrew game on the QJ.NET PSP Development forums. Aside from the Halloween-themed cosmetic change courtesy of Cloos, The Paparazzi Special Halloween plays just like the original The Paparazzi game. You're have to take a certain number of pictures of the ghoulish celebrities that pop up before your camera runs out of batteries. There are five levels in all, with the target number of pictures increasing with every level. There's no readme included in the download below, but the controls are simple and easy to figure out. You move the camera using either the d-pad or the analog stick. The X button is used to take pictures. For some Halloween fun, just unzip the archive below to your PlayStation Portable's Game150 folder and you're good to go. Article originally posted Oct 27, 2007 at 02:20PM (Editor's Note: Double, double, toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble; eye of newt and... all that jazz. What's your costume going to be like this year? It's finally that time of year when CosPlay fanatics can run wild in the streets without fear of getting hounded by the cops. Do we have some people coming in as Kratos this year? Maybe wanna dress up as a character from a new IP, like say, Altair from Assassin's Creed - he seems to be pretty popular among the ladies. Be that as it may, it's time to don the QuickJump QuickPeek suit - hold the eye of newt, please! The 18th edition rolls out today!) Clear the decks for this one, folks! Following last week's #17, QuickJump QuickPeek 18 has parked its merry bottom on the QJ blogs! Halloween is just around the corner and this edition of our weekly recap has nothing less than the most wicked news and updates. Of course, "wicked" here may connote either of two things: 1) wicked in the sense of being vilely putrid in nature, or 2) wicked in the sense of being made out of pure win, awesome, or [insert your own expletive of jubilation]. This week, we've got a heavy dosage of updates that'll make pumpkin heads roll. For one, Clive Barker's Jericho is already on shelves this week for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 - that right there is probably enough to give you some goosebumps for the next couple of weeks. Rawr. Now just to give you a slight swig from the QuickPeek cauldron, it's a potion of sorts with various PSP batteries colliding, highly-anticipated games finally getting the gold status, and some little after taste of bold remarks from iconic analysts, CEOs, and attorneys. Something wicked this way comes! On with the pumpkin rolling! Click the Full Article link below to read the whole of QuickJump QuickPeek 18! |

It's Michael Myers season again. It's only the start of August, but preparations for this coming Halloween are already in place (and we're not just referring to cos-play outfits here). D3Publisher of America and Dimension Films are giving three lucky towns a ticket to watch Rob Zombie's Halloween, the remake of the 1978 movie of the same title. All those wishing to enter the "One Killer Night" sweepstakes are simply asked to register in the Dead Head Fred site (Read link below). Three winners will be chosen from the pool; each of them will earn a private screening of Halloween for their hometown before it officially hits theaters in late August (right in time for the game's actual release too). To register your profile and learn of more contest details (mind the fine print!), click the Read link below! |

While this list isn't exactly the most original of its kind, we wanted to offer our take on which mamas are the hottest in the virtual world. Everything here is subjective and any list is as good as ours. So without remorse, this is our top 10 hottest game babes to date:10. Maria Renard (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)- The blonde hottie from Alucard's big night out may not have been seen in 3D glory and all, but the portrait was convincing enough. With her perfect complexion, killer brown eyebrows and the wavy, golden hair, she was a perfect leading lady to match with the vampiric charm of Dracula's son. 9. Mai Shiranui (King of Fighters)- Mai first appeared in the first half of the 90's in Fatal Fury 2. She immediately became one of the stars of the game for obvious reasons: She had the moves and the physique to match. Where rival bear 'em up Street Fighter II featured more conservative lady brawlers, SNK showed Mai's assets off with an innovative twist: Bouncing jubblies! Now imagine the testosterone levels in the old-school arcades more than a decade ago. 8. Aerith Gainsborough (Final Fantasy VII)- The gorgeous good girl of the legendary RPG Final Fantasy VII may have led a short and sweet character lifespan, but the fact remains that she's still one of the most beloved females in the business to date. Okay, the clothes she wore may not exactly be revealing, but we have to understand that it's how she was meant to be packaged in the first place. Imagine if she was a bit more fashion-trendy: She would have given the DoA girls a run for their money. 7. Morrigan Aensland (Dark Stalkers)- The naughty night warrior does that succubus lineage proud. She looked fantastic in 2D and had the ferocity to match. The anime spin-off of Capcom's popular Halloween fighter did her justice as she was just as charming there. Call her costume weird, but that only strengthens the convictions of her appeal. You gotta admit, not a lot of girls will look sexy in that! More ladies follow at the full article. |

Littlevish told us about his little site, which aims to add a bit more replayability for those folks who grew to love Sony's round, yellow protagonist. He's got a site up that offers Loco Roco fans even more custom levels and links to other downloadable goodies for people to try out. Beyond Loco, his site, looks to be a computer and PSP browser-accessible place for downloading new game content. He not only hosts his own levels, but even gives links to the Halloween and Christmas demos that still happen to be up for download, as well as the special Loco Roco guide for the main game. Heck, he even links back to us, which is cool beyond measure. Most of the downloadable content is available through registering with his site, but there are a handful of levels already out for guests. Still, if you intend to make the most of your love for the Roco, then get Loco and sign up. |

QJ reader DreaDNoughT left this message in our mailbox today: i know it's a bit late to post something related to Halloween.. but we swedes celebrate it today.. anyway kevin and i decided to make mddp a little more Halloween related and i made some small bugfixes to it.. so now the psp doesn't slow down when u change the direction Mario is facing So, we downloaded the game. We loaded it into our PSP. We played for a bit. Enjoyed ourselves. Had some fun. Took some screens, and now we're posting it here for everyone else to download. All in a day's fun...er, we mean work. He he. The controls are easy. Left and right move Mario across the screen. X makes Mario jump. Also be sure that you, just like the game title says, don't drop the PSP... or else... Nice work DreaDNoughT! Keep those updates coming. Download: [Mario Don't Drop the PSP V3 (Halloween edition)] |

Q Entertainment really does seem to have a thing for psychedelic, trance-y stuff. As if Lumines wasn't enough of a groovy thing for the PSP, they just have to push it a little bit more and develop Gunpey-R. Then again, not that we mind. After all, we do need more of that fun stuff going around nowadays.Anyways, what we have here for you are two more gameplays for Gunpey-R. While watching it, this writer can't help but think, man, that's warped. And it really is. For a while back there, I was paying more attention to the swooping birds on the background of the Puzzling video more than the actual game itself. And when I turned to watch the Addictive vid, I had my eyes glued to the background yet again. Is it just me, or does that thing actually look like the devil? Brr...gotta shake that Halloween left-over chill off. Nonetheless, gameplay's riveting, and it's nothing short of cool. You can download them right here. Enjoy! The end of the month is coming up, and while you guys will be out there
running around trick-or-treating, we thought we'd tickle your gaming
sweet tooth by giving you a compilation list of the games coming out
for the next few days. Once again, save
yourself the trouble of sweating out a long walk to you local retail store, and enjoy our Halloween treat for 'ya. And while there's a lot of games to look forward to, we'll have to honestly say that our top picks would have to be The Sims 2: Pets (Sickeningly cute animals, go figure), and FEAR (This one just for this holiday's sake).
