PlayStation Store - Image 1The sixth week of PSN Spring Fever features the usual truckload of add-ons, trailers, and the ever-present Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks. Spearheading today's batch is Wheel of Fortune and the LBP Killzone Mini-pack. Karaoke Revolution also features songs that certainly put the movie mood on, but they're the American Idol versions though. Check the list inside for a some of the content.

PlayStation Store - Image 1Just like Europe, North America isn't getting any new PS3 demos with this week's PlayStation Store update (there is one for PSP). There's still a lot of new stuff, though: the full Age of Booty game, PAIN's The Hoff character and Movie Studio lot, the usual weekly track packs, and a huge helping of FIFA 09 and Need For Speed: Undercover DLC. The full list is after the jump.

Lara croft - Image 1The uber-popular Tomb Raider heroine Lara Croft will join the ranks of Mozart, Sherlock Holmes and Jimi Hendrix in the elite list of people, real or fictional, who have been awarded UK's blue plaque.

The administration awards the plaque to sites as a permanent sign indicating that a person of great importance has done a share of his work there. In this case, the building to be commemorated is the former office of Core Designs, developer of the Tomb Raider series.

"We were aware of the history of the building, but it was actually a local resident who wrote to the local paper and suggested it," said Rudleigh homes manager Paul Walters. "We're really keen on the idea to mark Lara's 'birthplace."

Eidos hooked up with Core Designs in 1996 and brought the Tomb Raider franchise to its golden age. The game became popular because of its nice blend of puzzles, action and of course, the charming Ms. Croft. The series is still alive and still kicks hard as it performs well in the current generation of gaming.

Legendary

Who says the PSP can't have funk and soul? With Jimi Hendrix slated to come to your favorite handheld, let's see you change your mind. Most of you will probably be too young to even have an iota of a clue as to who this legend is. Trust us, he's cool. And as your parents most probably know him, they might turn out to be cool as well. Or not. But let's not get into that.

The famed Hendrix is considered as one of the most influential guitarists in rock music history, as well as songwriter and singer. If you're making good use of the GuitarHelper and Tuner 'brew on your PSP, and you feel like you could use some guiding light in your quest to becoming a rockstar via your PSP, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Although none has been spotted in North American shores, a UMD disc released in tribute of Hendrix is already out in Japan. With eleven song clips like "Purple Haze" and the classic "Star Spangled Banner" Woodstock video, this should most definitely up your inclination for music. And it may very well inspire you, too. Hendrix, after all, is the guru himself.

Now, as the UMD is region 2 encoded, it will only work if you got your PSP from Japan or Europe. Ironic, isn't it, that America's very own legend can't be brought home.
