PSP homebrew developer Joao Bastos has just announced the release of his very first full game, titled Xadrez. This app, still to be in its Beta version according to the file, is a 3D chess game for your PSP, and also carries "specular highlights, stencil reflections, color blending."

All standard chess rules appear to follow, with players able to select either the black or white factions. The game AI is very simple, and just reacts based on the pawn's current position. An easy-to-pick-up game for the guys who'd like a quick chess match or two on their handhelds to kill time. Enjoy the download, and wait up in case Joao Bastos makes plans to update Xadrez.
