The Sony PSP logo - Image 1It's said to be the only constant, and yet even homebrew developers of Sony's handheld make use of it from time to time. Change is the name of JumpR's game - the Flashless Version Changer v2, specifically. JumpR gives us more directions on how to use this updated application after the jump.

PSP Slim - Image 1Looks like there's a new PSP custom firmware in town! Here's the latest release of _HellDashX_: Custom Firmware 3.72 HX-1. It's built off of Dark AleX's 3.71 M33-2 custom firmware, and though DAX himself might be "retired", at least CFWs are still very much alive!

The maker of Anti Update for the PSP Slim plugin clues in reverse engineering feats and future interface changes., but perhaps you'd be more interested to head on over to the links for the download and the release forums at QJ.NET. Read on to find them.

PSP Pandora Battery tutorial for Linux and Vista - Image 1PSP homebrew developer Jumpr - who also recently released a patch for PSP Content Manager v1.8 - has released a new guide for creating a Pandora Battery PSP Unbricker for the Vista OS and on Linux, after observing how "nearly all Pandora guides are for XP users."

Jumpr's guide is still based on the tried and true Pandora guides, but guides us through the necessary steps when dealing with the different OSs. Basically the process is the same except for two parts, the mspformat and the msint, which the guide describes in detail.

Jumpr also invites others to give feedback on his guide. Follow the link to the PSP Development Forum Thread for the tutorial.

PSP Content Manager v1.8 Patch - for 3.52 M33/3.60 M33/3.71 M33 - Image 1Homebrew developer JumpR dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a patch for version 1.8 of PSP Content Manager. The said program was originally coded by UFox.

The patch should make the program compatible with the newest custom firmwares 3.52 M33, 3.60 M33 as well as 3.71 M33. PSP Content Manager allows users to manage and preview the different content of their Sony handheld on the PC.

The patch itself contains three .REG files for each custom firmware. All you have to do is run it, select "Yes" and then you're done. You can remove the patch once you've already applied it.

JumpR also added that for this patch to work, you will have to run PSP Content Manager v1.8 first before applying it to the program. Once applied, it will slightly modify PSP Content Manager's settings in the registry.
