Kudos goes to PSP developer MániácX, who after just releasing CSP Development Studio Version 1.2 for the community's use several hours ago, is announcing the release of version 1.2.1. This application, for those asking, is a Windows-based integrated development environment (IDE), and is built to help both beginner and intermediate PSP coders in developing apps. As for version 1.2.1's changelog:
UPDATE: MániácX made a note below reminding users that this upgrade requires the original versionof the application. You can follow the appropriate link below to download CSP Development Studio v1.2. According to the rules of the on-going PSP-Hack Homebrew Competition, the coder can post his creation online to receive feedback from the community and improve the entry repeatedly until April 29. Well, developer J@ricanese just released an improve version of Simon v0.1.
Among other things, J@ricanese thought that it would be wise to rename the game all together. The entry will now be known as Simon Remix and this release is for version 0.4. The download below includes EBOOTs both for 1.50 and 1.00. Also, a lot of changes have also been implemented. The coder discussed,

-Maniac- has dropped by our PSP development forums to tell us about the release of the tool he coded for aspiring homebrew developers for PSP - C/C++ Development Studio. It's a PC-based development application designed specifically to help coders via enhanced developing GUI/environment. This one's very much like his PSP Lua Software Studio, only this version caters more to C and C++ programming languages. Here's the list of the PSP application's features, straight from developer -Maniac-:

The past couple of months have indeed been crazy for the homebrew scene, what with all the exciting stuff that's been coming our way. While we absolutely don't mind being bombarded with PSX emulations, getting updates on other emulators ain't so bad as well. Especially if it's from someone whom we all thought has already dropped the project to tinker with some other bigger thing. That someone we're referring to here is none other than the beloved NJ, and that project would be the CPS2PSP. Yeah, for a while back there, we sure thought he's done with it. But apparently, and fortunately so, he isn't. In fact, he's just released his CPS2PSP v1.8.4, and you can get it right here. Actually, there are two files for you to feast on: there's the regular zip file, and then there's the Ad Hoc zip file. Now, Google translate has shown some rather interesting stuff from the translated page. Here's an excerpt: About one month PSP had not touched, but the experiment which is transplanted to Windows/Linux privately with SDL correction of 1.66 bugs which with the process which does are discovered and, taking in the result of drawing speed improvement experiment of the line scroll which has become vague, you adjusted lastly. As for CPS2PSP, because the analysis of CPS2 is advanced with MAME, also cryptographic cancellation algorithm at 0.111u5 point in time is taken in. Furthermore, because the intention which reopens the development with PSP it is not, please acknowledge beforehand.

Xfacter is back, and he's brought the third release of Battlegrounds with him. Version 0.5 right here promises to be "MUCH more complete than the first two releases." So, what to expect in this version? For one, there's now a full-on story mode as well as a deathmatch mode. The graphics have also been updated, albeit only slightly, apart from the addition to the new graphics for story mode. We gotta tell you, the graphics do look swell. Apart from that, there's a special unlockable deathmatch waiting for you at the end of the storymode. As for the user saving/loading and music playback, Xfacter has decided to remove it. He reasons that autosaves are easier to manage than in-game saves and music playback can be easily accomplished with iRShell. Anyway, you can check out some more info on the game in the Read me file that's in the download. Now, as for the installation, for most users, you just have to copy the Battlegrounds directory to your GAME folder. But if you're using 1.5, you'd have to Kxploit it yourself. For our unit, we used the PSP Brew to install the game. Anyway, we won't be keeping you much longer. You can download the file right here, and you can join the discussion as well over at our forums. Again, be sure to check out the Read me, lest you overlook some very important notice, aight? Download: [Battlegrounds v0.5] Discuss: [Forum Release Thread] |
