Twin Bee was a staple in any space shooting gamer's childhood. When Konami said they were bringing it back for the PSP, you can bet that at least 100 people would be going "Pew-pew-pew" on their chairs waiting for the release of a new Twin Bee game.
Konami is hoping to capitalize on worldwide nostalgia as the game bring back five great titles for PSP owners everywhere through the Twin Bee Collection: Twinbee (1985), Detana Twinbee (1991), Twinbee Yahho! Fushigi no Kuni de Ooabare!! (1995), and Pop'n Twinbee (1996). Even better is the nifty little twist that Konami's cooking up, as you have to play vertically rather than the usual horizontal style, a throwback to its origins on the arcade. Well, here's something to tide you over until Twin Bee and Win Bee make their triumphant comeback. Here's more pew-pew-pew gameplay from the Twin Bee Collection, courtesy of Game Videos. |

Because of the warm welcome and sizzling sales that Konami got with Gradius Collection, and with the evident anticipation for similar classic collections such as Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded, we can see that classic games are making a huge comeback in the current-gen and next-gen gaming industry. Now, Konami joins the nostalgic bandwagon as they resurrect and bring their classic shooter games to the PSP in three new bundles. The first details on this classic release are found on the latest issue of Famitsu, and the Japanese magazine gives us a glimpse of the titles included in each of the three collections: Salamander Portable, Parodius Portable, and Twinbee Portable.
Each collection reportedly has five titles, but Konami is still keeping mum about three titles that will be included in the bundle. Famitsu shares with us the titles under each collection that Konami has announced so far: |

A few days ago, Gamma has given us his Lua port of Kuni's award-winning puzzle game, mosser. Attested by people who tried out Lua Mosser a.k.a. Fuse Moxa, the game is truly addicting. If you were one of those people who got hooked to the game, here's a new version to get you more addicted still. Lua Mosser now comes with a vertical version - dubbed "v-moxa". You will still have the goal of burning all the moxa by putting them in the line of fire. Conditions still say the same: when the remaining moxa reach the bottom or when you are immobilized by moxa in all four directions, the game is over. "v-mox" while played on a shrunk screen will still be as much fun as the horizontal version ("h-mox"). This latest release will also see a reverse in the D-pad response - instead of the characters moving on key-off, they now move on key-on. Also, the 'Hiscore' file will apply to both v-mox and h-mox. Unfortunately, there's still no luck with Lua Player v0.20 users - but if you're convinced by the testimonials of Lua Mosser's players, the download for compatible Lua versions are below. If you're already on Lua v0.14 to 0.19, what are you waiting for? Give this game a go, you're not gonna regret it. Kuni has created a HOUTSOUP Script Contest 2004 with "mosser", leading people to try it out and brand it is a certified addicting game. Now PSP owners have a chance to see what's so enticing about this game - gamma has just created a Lua port with his Fuse Moxa PSP. As it is a Lua port, you'll be needing a Lua Player; however, the latest Lua version - v0.20 - is unable to run this game. Links toward the Lua Players v0.18 and 0.19 are provided below as well, just feel free to test any (or both) to see which runs better (v0.19 works fine with me). If you decide to try out this game, here's how the game goes: your objective is to put the moxa into the line of fire and burn them all. Make sure the remaining moxa does not reach the bottom or that you are not packed in by moxa in all four directions causing immmobility; these conditions will lead you to that dreaded "game over". The game is controlled by moving the digital pad up, down, left, and right. Pressing "Start" will quit the game. Gamma gives us a tip on playing the game: "The moxa ignites slowly, so if you put moxa linearly, a lot of residual moxa reaches to the bottom. Pass by firing point periodically to make a shortcut." Also, if you want to initialize the highest score, you can do so by removing the "Hiscore" file included in the download. See what made this game an award-winning puzzle by clicking on the download link below. Start burning moxa!
