Media Create's software sales chart for the week ending December 2 shows that Nintendo DS titles still sell the most software with Level 5's Professor Layton and Pandora's Box on top. On the other hand, the Wii Balance Board peripheral proved attractive enough and sold many copies of Wii Fit along with it. To know what's hot in Japan, head over to the full article! |

Level 5's latest offering to Sony's handheld is now on shelves, and some even already have their hands on Jeanne D'Arc for their PSPs. For those who've never heard of the game, or turned their backs after hearing "turn-based strategy," you may want to check out this trailer from Games Convention '07 in Leipzig that could change your mind.
Known for games with cutesy anime-esque characters involved in strong and engaging plots, it's pretty much safe to assume that Level 5 will recreate the story of French heroine Joan of Arc into epic proportions filled with strategy and RPG elements. This brief trailer introduces the game with a narrative, before showing off some insane gameplay footage. Fans of the genre would love Jeanne D'Arc's graphics, throwing other pseudo-3D SRPGs out of the water. Special effects are also topnotch, with impressive audio to boot. Give it your verdict after watching the video below. |

Strategy gamers wanting to try Level 5's Jeanne D'Arc will be pleasantly surprised to find that they can pick up a demo disk of the game for free. This is a pretty cool offer and one that PSP owners should look into, considering the amount of hype this tactical RPG has been building up.The game is loosely based on the exploits of Joan of Arc during the 15th century AD when France and England were battling each other during the 100 Years' War. The gameplay is reminiscent of the Final Fantasy Tactics series with a three-fourths view of the map, action points, grid based movement, and special attacks. If you want to give the game a spin, head on over to PlayStation.com thorough our read link to find out more on how to get your free demo disk. |

The Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association (CESA) just released a partial list of exhibitors that will be attending this year's Tokyo Game Show or TGS. Since this is just an initial announcement, most titles are made for the Japanese audience and we have no idea whether these will be localized for English-speaking markets. We brought up the topic just the same because there are some entries in the list that we know you are quite familiar with. More importantly, it looks like development studio Level 5 has plans to shake the game genre to its very core as it included an untitled entry that is "set to create a new genre". Here's the list:

While Microsoft is readying up a media barrage for North America to promote Bungie's Halo 3 game (Xbox 360), it looks like Japan's populace may not be quite as receptive. Famitsu's latest "Most Wanted" polls of the region indicate that the game is gone from the poll's top 20 list, being overrun by Samurai Warriors 2: Xtreme Legends for the PlayStation 2.
Games making another appearance in the list include White Knight Story and The Last Remnant (PS3, Xbox 360). And in case you're wondering, the lists' top five stalwarts are still there, solidly rooted to their current places - at least until more developments arise.

Jeanne is definitely in for a tough fight today! She's forced to fight on a bridge against the British army, led by the mysterious Talbot in Jeanne D'Arc. GameTrailers has the blow-by-blow account, however, as they've got footage of Jeanne's important battle.
What can you expect to see in this video of Level 5's video game for the Sony PSP? Besides Jeanne wielding her mighty sword, you've also got a thief stealing cash from the British, a British Sniper attempting to take down Jeanne, and a quick glimpse of Jeanne's fully-armored upgrade form in Jeanne D'Arc. That being said, watch the video! You'll definitely want to know how it all turns out. Enjoy! |
