Adrin and Marce82's Quick Tuning Flasher v2 has just been released, and this time, it's for CF 3.90 M33. Like the previous version, this one allows you to have multiple themes in your memory, and then flash them to your heart's delight. Developers Astaroth and Marce82 has just released Ultra Recovery for the PSP, a homebrew that allows users to do a variety of tasks including downgrading their firmware to 1.50. Unlike some of the applications of this sort, it comes packaged with an easy to use Graphical User Interface making it easier for less tech-savvy PSP owners to use.

While the interface is intuitive we found out in our PSP forums that, because of space issues, some more experienced users prefer to use the classic mode of the program which does away with the GUI. Installing the program is pretty straightforward and shouldn't be a problem for most people. Here's a complete list of what Ultra Recovery can do as taken from the documentation of the program:

• Totally graphical Structure
• Access USB to memory stick, flash0, flash1, flash2 and flash3
• Possibility of taking 5 applications in flash1
• Possibility of taking to 5 xmb themes complete in memory stick
• Stick of flash0, flash1, flash2 and flash3 Allows to create a Backup in memory
• Option of format flash1 and creating the necessary folders of the applications flash
• Option of return to firmware 1.50
• Creative of Eboot recovery in memory stick
• Access to the classic Recovery

This won't be the last release of the program though since the developers are planning to revamp the GUI, add support for the 3.71 M33 kernel, include prx compression, and more. Before doing anything, be sure to go over the read me file included with the download to avoid any problems with its installation and usage.

Over at the Italian PlayStation Portable community site PSP-Tribe, homebrew developer Hellrider released a new program that should sync well with your newly acquired custom firmware from Team M33 (3.52 M33-2). It's called XMB Recovery Eboot and we believe no further explanation is necessary since the name of the program itself explains everything.

It should be remembered that a similar program known as Boot Recovery 3.51 M33 was released a couple of weeks ago by developer Marce82. We just can't help but think what Team M33 will say regarding this program since we all know how they feel about some people adding on to their work.

XMB Recovery Eboot comes with a Readme file but since Hellrider is Italian, we believe some of you might find it troublesome to translate the document. Luckily, a step-by-step procedure was provided by QJ.NET reader Tendold who also sent us the tip regarding this release:

• Extract the archive ZIP in a directory
• Copy the directory "Recovery352h3" in X:/PSP/GAME150
• Launch the homebrew

PSP homebrew developer Marce (aka Marce82) dropped by the QJ.NET forums to announce the latest release of the Recovery Translator v3 application. This app, in case you weren't around during its previous release, allows you to change your recovery language into the following:

• Spanish
• French
• Italian
• Portuguese
• English (Original)
• Catalan
  

Recovery Translator v3 has been successfully tested on custom firmwares 3.02 OE, 3.03 OE, 3.10 OE, 3.30 OE, 3.40 OE, and 3.51 M33/3.52 M33, so there shouldn't be any serious compatibility issues with the application. Just remember that this app writes in flash, so be extra careful in using it. Further usage instructions can be found in the "info" text in the file bundle, and over at Marce's post at our QJ.NET PSP Development Forums.
