Yo Joe! Now we're gettting more screens for the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, DS, PSP, Wii.) from Electronic Arts. These are taken from the Xbox 360 version of the title, and the graphics appear to be as cool as Snake Eyes. Check 'em out.

3D Virtual Globe (aka 3D Virtual Earth) for the PSP has been updated last week by mifki with a v0.53 release (yeah, we're sure going through quite a backlog of brew during the holidays *hic!*). The biggest addition to this release is that it now has new map layers, including those for both the Moon and Mars!

Homebrew developer Royale's PSP-Maps app - an attempt to bring Google Maps to the PSP - has just hit the big two point oh, and it now features basic support for the PSP-290 GPS attachment. Hit the jump for PSP-Maps v2.0's full changelog.

Google Moon, Mars and Sky support have been added for the previous build of PSP-Maps, the map reader from homebrew developer Royale. Today, coder Royale releases version 1.1 to add a Google Moon bug fix and KML support. More details after the jump.

Developer Royale has recently announced the release of PSP-Maps v1.0. The latest build of this map read application now carries support for Google Moon, Google Mars, and Google Sky. Further details on its changes are available in the full article.

We posted an article one month ago that invited readers to do a little thought exercise. So here's our list of some video gaming and technology moments worth remembering. Hope this gets you thinking (and feeling nostalgic too!). And we look forward to your comments (and arguments). What do you remember and wish that the world will never forget?

Let's take a break from the usual conversational tone we have here at QJ when it comes to posts, and let's get, for the lack of a better term, "stiff." Moreover, just in case you're wondering, there's a punchline at the end of this in the form of a video. The punchline er, hook, isn't really meant to be funny, just mildly amusing. Okay, we suppose it is safe to assume that all of us are familiar with NASA World Wind right? In the unlikely-hood that you aren't here is a quick description of the program:

World Wind is an application developed by NASA for use on computers running Microsoft Windows. The program overlays NASA satellite imagery and United States Geological Survey aerial photography on a 3D model of the Earth, Moon and Mars. The user interacts with virtual planet by rotating it and zooming in and out. Overlays of political boundaries, five million place-names, and lines of latitude/longitude are included in the application.

Now that's out of the way, here's the punch: a video of somebody operating it using their PSP.

Today EA announced the in game soundtrack to Madden NFL 07. Madden will be hitting all the current consoles, such as Xbox 360 and PSP as well as the systems that are coming out this fall, the PS3 and Wii. The football game will be hitting stores for the current systems of August 22nd. The soundtrack from the game has a variety of music including rock, punk, ska and hip hop.
