PSP Slim - Image 1

QJ Forums member LouNGeR dropped by our forums earlier and was nice enough to post his "Install M33 on Slim Complete Guide." As the name suggests, this is a detailed instruction manual on getting your new-fangled Sony PlayStation Portable Slim primed with today's hottest homebrew.

LouNGeR reminds everyone that he will take no responsibility to damages to your PSP, battery, PC or memory stick. He also says that this guide was tested and working with the equipment listed in the guide. Everyone can copy this guide as long as it is properly credited. Follow the tutorial at your own risk.

What you need:
  • A "fat" PSP running 1.50 or custom firmware, together with a non-el-cheapo battery
  • Memory Stick PRO duo, NOT a Memory Stick Duo, 64 MB should be fine, but must be 4 GB or less
  • AC Adapter
This guide has been tested using the following materials:
  • White Fat PSP TA-086 with original 1800mA battery and firmware v3.52 M33 Update 4 (english)
  • Black Slim PSP with original 1200mA battery and firmware v3.60 (english)
  • Sony 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo
  • Original AC Adapter
Follow the full guide after the jump!

Daxter Entertainment Pack - Image 1Sony has just sent out a press wire for a new PSP Slim package now available for purchase. The kit is dubbed the Daxter PSP Entertainment Pack, and as you've probably guessed, contains a copy of Ready At Dawn's Daxter game, among other goodies. • Daxter (game)
  • The Family Guy: The Freakin' Sweet Collection (Video collection)
  • "Ice Silver" PSP-Slim system

Noticeably missing from the pack are the Slim's cables - Sony noted that they're going to be available later during the year. Both the Component AV Cable (For playing games on a monitor)and AV Cable (for video out) will sell for US$ 19.99 each. Further along this September, Sony will also be releasing the PSP Slim "Piano Black" core package. This contains the aforementioned PSP, a standard AC adaptor, a battery pack, and will cost US$ 169.99.

And finally, for the Star Wars fans, we've got the limited-edition Star Wars Battlefront PSP Entertainment Pack. This combo entitles buyers to a special "Ceramic White" PSP Slim with Darth Vader's image emblazoned on the back, as well as a copy of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.
