The record was broken when the March sales figures were published by the NPD, but industry analyst Michael Pachter believes that the PS3 will prove to shine once again in April. More Pachter predictions of the NPD's April numbers in the full article. |

Take-Two turned heads when it gave EA a stunning rejection on their highly publicized acquisition talks. Not everyone, however, is impressed. The Wedbush Morgan analyst says this was a mistake for the Grand Theft Auto 4 (Playstation 3 and Xbox 360) makers, and it may haunt them in the future. Find out the reasons why he thinks so by reading the full article. |

Ubisoft recently acquired full rights to the Tom Clancy name on a perpetual basis, relieving them of all future obligations to pay royalties for the franchise. But how much did they have to pay so that they don't, um, pay? Analyst Michael Pachter estimates it to be around US$ 94 million. Ouch. More details in the full article. |

Will Electronic Arts assume command of Take-Two before Grand Theft Auto 4 (Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360) comes out? Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter thinks it's likely. He says that the respective managements of both firms could be close to settling on a price for the merge to take place. Read the full article to get a grip on Pachter's prediction. |

We don't know what the future holds in the event that Electronic Arts manages to acquire Take-Two Interactive, but it probably isn't the end of the world. In fact, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter is optimistic enough to say the Grand Theft Auto franchise will probably survive in the hands of EA even if original developer Rockstar North parts ways. Head over to the full article for more details. |

Reacting to recent industry news, Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter has predicted that EA will be, in Gamespot's words, conducting a hostile takeover of Take-Two Interactive. An interesting theory that Pachter also brought up is that EA is more
interested in the sports division of the company rather than its other
IPs. For more on this, head on over to the full article. |

Just because a company is down doesn't necessarily mean that a company is out. As analysts Michael Pachter and Colin Sebastian have pointed out, THQ's underperformance in 2007 is "a painful step" to a more successful showing in the future. Fellow analyst Arvin Bhatia concurs, and he has his own words of encouragement for THQ. You can read more about them in the full article after the jump. |
