StrmnNrmn Daedalus PSP - Image 1While most of the coders out there work within the same circles, one of them seems to be standing on the outside, causing his own storm of sorts. External from most of the drama, StrmnNrmn is happily living in his own world, giving us one of the greatest homebrew emulator projects for the PSP: the Nintendo 64 emulator, Deadalus PSP. As a tribute to Daedalus' third year anniversary this month, here's your QuickGuide for reminiscing (or catching up!) on the life and times of StrmnNrmn so far. Strap into your seats, we're heading into the eye of the storm!

DeadalusThe DaedalusX64 team is back with a quick update for the latest beta version of their DeadalusX64 emulator for the PSP. As Kreationz states, this update is just a quick fix, but it's still recommended that you update your version of Beta 2 to this one. Quick fix as it may be, just look at that changelog in the full article, man.

DaedalusX64 - Image 1Woot! Yes, indeedy: StrmnNrmn is back in the scene! We just got confirmation from Kreationz that StrmnNrmn is joining the DaedalusX64 team - not full-time, mind you, but more as a consultant with some minor contributions. We also get news that he's working on a port of the original Daedalus project too!

*Update* Kreationz has clarified certain matters and given some new info.

DaedalusX64 - Image 1This was a triumph! We're making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS. The DaedalusX64 project is out of beta alpha - they're releasing on time! Turns out that the the team working on StrmnNrmn's Daedalus N64 emulator project for the PSP has decided to actually release a beta version before their DaedalusX64-tailored R14 release. Y'know, a beta version to whet your appetites before the main course. See Kreationz's public message in the full article!

Watch a comparison vid of the R13 release against the x64 release after the link!

A big thanks to Penpvdbs for the tip!

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Image 1Sounds like a dream? Shinydude100 at the Daedalus X64 forums is confident that he can run Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at over 25fps. He's not giving any further details just yet, but he's got plans underway and we'd love to see him succeed.

Dreamcast logo - Image 1Homebrew developer drkIIRaziel has released four videos of his nullDC project for the PSP. This one is a Sega Dreamcast emulator and it's looking pretty real to us. There's no download as of yet, but there should be some soon enough. Go to the full article and be amazed.

Thanks to Silenus for the tip!
