In an interview, Capcom producer Ben Judd stated that a PSP port of Bionic Commando Rearmed (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC) is "near impossible," though it's still playable on the handheld. How? Find out about that and many other juicy details revealed by the Capcom producer by clicking on "read more" below. |

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Amycall's mobile offering is going for the gold. The phone manufacturer's PS3 phone carries other concepts "borrowed" from other consoles, the details of which you can pick up over in the full article. |

Hungry for some Snake? You're in luck, since the previously Japan-only Metal Gear 20th anniversary figures will be available locally in the US. Created to celebrate the franchise's 20th year since the release of the first Metal Gear game for the NES, these Ultra Detail figures depict the several incarnations of Snake from Konami's Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, as well as other characters. All figures (Snake from MGS2, MGS3 and MGS4, Raiden and Otacon) will measure approximately 7 inches tall, and will come fully detailed with accessories. Each figure will be priced at US$ 19.99, which makes these figures an actual steal. Want to do some tactical espionage action on your desktop or shelf? Then have a Snake or two! |

Admit it, playing as a pansy would suck even if it was the best video game ever made. That isn't to say having some random well-built guy with a deep voice on screen is enough to make a game fun. In fact, we've seen so many pitiful attempts of trying to make "cool" characters that it's not even funny anymore. Fortunately, there's a handful of really manly video game dudes out there that aren't just made of testosterone and big muscles - they also have the history, personality, and attitude to be considered men among men. In this list are the most epic piles of manly turned video game characters. Are you man enough to take it? 10. Ryo Hazuki - Being manly doesn't mean you have to be some barbaric dude with an axe and a loud voice. As they say, the deep waters are more silent. Ryo Hazuki sounds and acts like your typical quiet guy, but fans of Shenmue know what lies beneath. He's not a womanizer or a jock. In fact, he ditched his cute lover, plays with kittens, and drives forklifts. What makes him so manly, then? Even while facing potentially the strongest organized crime group in China, Ryo is deadset on facing Chiyoumen's leader, Lan Di, to avenge his father. Just like a man with strong convictions, this guy fresh out of high school has left worldy matters behind to do whatever it takes just to get closer to the fiend that killed his dad. Click on for the rest of list, in which we ooze machismo and hose the decks down with testosterone. RAWR! |

Homebrew developer davex has updated his NesterJ mod once again. This time, there's another new mode that'll add another new dimension to your NesterJ experience. Previous versions of this NesterJ mod added the Rewind and Mirror modes. The former allows players to warp back in time without using save states. The latter inverts the NES emulator's graphics, so a game that normally scrolls from left to right can be made to scroll right to left instead. This particular update adds a new Rotated mode. It rotates the game screen 180 degrees, so players will also have to physically rotate their PlayStation Portable units. Under Rotated mode, players will have to get used to having the directional pad and the action buttons inverted. Here are a couple more things davex has added in this version:

Looking for a different spin on the NesterJ homebrew NES Emulator for the PSP by Ruka? Developer davex dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce an unofficial release of the emulator's v1.11, with this version carrying mods like Rewind, and Mirror mode.Rewind, as its name implies, will allow players to warp back in time (*ahem*, within the game) in case they made a mistake. It's a bit like saving states, but with less of the hassle. The "Rewind" button is mapped to the R trigger by default, and can be remapped. Mirror mode inverts the game's graphics; much like how some manga get reversed when they get printed stateside. This new mode should enable sidescroller fans to enjoy their old classics from (quite literally) a different point of view. A third (and more subtle) mode also mentioned is sepia palette, which swaps out the game's color palettes into those you'll find in the GameBoy. davex explains that this NesterJ revision is being released with the approval of the emulator's original creator, Ruka. Full usage details and explanations are available in the file readme included in the bundle. Also make sure to drop by davex's release thread for more info. AcidMods just came out with its second issue of the PSP magazine, AcidMag. AcidMag Issue #2 includes a short history of AcidMods, a StarCraft 2 preview, and pictures of new interesting modded consoles and controls such as the Wii-Nes Light Gun hybrid.AcidMods also included a PC version of Issue #2 which can be used to preview the magazine before uploading it into your PSP (if you feel the need to). As with the previous issue, AcidMods was cool enough to provide two options for the mag: the first one for the PSP comes with downloads while the second one's without downloads. Some of the sections in AcidMag Issue #2 packed with downloads will require Wi-Fi connection in order to be accessed. Should you encounter the memory error screen while reading the mag, just follow the following instructions:
