Homebrew coder Art has released a new update for AVEC, a faster GPS vector mapper for the PSP. The latest update now includes two modes, the 1.50 kernel version and a new user mode that supports Sony's PSP-290 USB GPS device.

The PSP homebrew community definitely stepped things up this week, releasing a slew of useful apps and enjoyable games for the PlayStation Portable. Perhaps most impressive, someone has once again taken on the task of coding a Nintendo DS emulator that runs on a PSP. A PSP that plays DS games? Who'da thunk it? Homebrew coder Light_AleX is back to release a new update for PSN License Manager, a handy homebrew application that allows you to easily backup and restore your PSN license from other regions right to your PSP without the hassle of connecting to the computer. The latest update is the dev's entry in the latest NeoFlash Summer Coding Compo 2009.

Third place winner of the Neoflash competition, Crazy Gravity Portable has gotten another update from The Underminer. As he states in the readme, this could potentially be his last one for the game. It's quite an important update too since it adds a lot of loading speed improvements and hacrazs fixed some crucial bugs. It's got seven new levels, which now brings the total to 10, among others.

Here's another space shooter for this year's NeoFlash Spring Coding Compo. This release is called Agenaworld v1.7 and visually, it's kind of like a mesh version of Geometry Wars. Details and screenshots after the jump.

PSP homebrew developer The Underminer has submitted his own entry to the Neoflash Spring Coding Compo. The game is called Crazy Gravity Portable, and is based on the original Crazy Gravity game by Axel Meierhofer. Details after the link.

It's NeoFlash Sping Compo season and that's why we're getting a homebrew shower! Besides, game news has been dry anyway, so here's another entry from pspflashsystem. It's his latest update for prxutility, the handy plugin that gives you your PSP info straight up. Changelog after the link.

Here's another NeoFlash compo entry. This time, it's from developer pspflashsystem. While there are lots of space shmups out there, this one is a dodge-em-all. While firing back certainly isn't gonna be your priority, you can send incoming asteroids into the occasional black hole.

Your idle doodling comes to life in Walar's Ragdoll Cannon, yet another entry for the 2009 NeoFlash Spring Compo. The game itself looks like your regular doodles on a dirty piece of paper, except these doodles are so straight you'd think they were made in industrial drafting classes. More info after the jump.
