Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer NephilimNX announced earlier in the QJ.NET's PSP Development Forums that his ThemePlus! NX v3.01 homebrew application has been released and is ready for download. Not familiar with this app? For starters, NephilimNX says that this plugin allows you to change your Sony PSP's Custom Theme, wallpaper and/or gameboot randomly and timely. That means if you're getting a little bored with your unit's interface, ThemePlus! NX v3.01 should add a little more excitement. Key features:
Before you install ThemePlus! NX v3.01, know that NephilimNX says, "If preset is enabled, there's a 50% chance that a preset file will be used. If preset file is used, the settings from preset file will be used instead from the config.ini." Also, kindly see the readme file and go through it for all the FAQs regarding ThemePlus! NX v3.01 NX. PSP homebrew developer NephilimNX just dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Development Forums to update the last version of ThemePlus! NX to version 3.00 Beta 2. While still in its beta stage, ThemePlus NX version 3.00 Beta 2 for the Sony PlayStation Portable significantly reduced XMB load time from 20 to 2 seconds, fixed some bugs, and improved compatibility.Just like previous releases, this application still has the options that allow users to specify how often they want themes to change. Beta 2 optimized speed so replacing the custom theme, wallpaper, and gameboot at the same time is faster than changing the wallpaper alone in the previous version. If you haven't checked out ThemePlus! NX before, the Readme file that comes with the download has all the details you need. It can get confusing with all the folders you have to be mindful about, so don't forget to go through the step-by-step instructions and FAQ NephilimNX provided. Download: ThemePlus! In case you missed our previous coverage, this plug-in allows users to change their wallpapers and gameboot at regular intervals (Hourly, Daily, Monthly, Yearly) or whenever the XMB menu loads. The developer said that this version is now completely compatible with Custom Firmware 3.71 M33 and higher (unless Sony decides to change the prx NIDs). If you're not using the newer firmware, there isn't any need to download this application considering all the features and functions have remained the same as the previous release. If you plan to use this plug-in, make sure you go over the Read Me included in the zipped file for instructions on how to install and use this application. Download: ThemePlus! PSP homebrew developer NephilimNX just dropped by the QJ.NET Forums to release ThemePlus! NX version 2.0 which fixes bugs and adds new features to an already convenient theme changer app. This homebrew app's only been tested on 3.52 M33-4, so it might not work on M33 CFW 3.71 "due to PRX incompatibilities," as NephilimNX puts it.Those who can make it run will have a lot to be happy about, while users of previous ThemePlus! versions will be delighted with the changes made in version 2.0. The changelog reads:

A lot can be said about a person by looking at his or her...gadgets. If you're the kind of person who gets bored easily and craves change, you'll probably want to customize your PSP to mirror that by installing NephilimNX's ThemePlus v1.2.For those unfamiliar with this homebrew, it randomly changes the wallpaper of your PSP whenever you turn it on or exit from a game or homebrew. It can also be customized to make these changes at regular intervals: Always, Daily, Hourly, Monthly, and Yearly. The developer released the changelog of the program in case you've been using an older version and want to see what has changes since that build:

Article originally posted on 08-12-2007 at 1:18 PM.Here's something for those of you who have a lot of wallpaper images in your PlayStation Portables. ThemePlus!, coded and released by NephilimNX on our PSP Development Forums, is a prx for custom firmware 3.x that lets you display a different wallpaper on your PSP everyday. It's all automatic, too. ThemePlus! loads when you boot up your PSP. If it detects that your current wallpaper is one day old (done by comparing your PSP's system date/time with the creation/modification date of your existing wallpaper), it will select another wallpaper randomly from your images folder and use that one instead. Please see the readme file included in the download for installation and usage instructions. NephilimNX also reminds users to check the error.log file in 'ms0:sepluginsthemeplus' if errors occur. For bug reports and suggestions, click on the Visit link below. Update: NephilimNX has added a new feature to his application ThemePlus!, making the newest release version 1.01. The added feature to this interesting app is actually a request from user Zackarak. This version now gives users the option to change their PSPs' wallpaper every boot. To do this, NephilimNX tells us to "Just rename or delete the file 'ms0:sepluginsthemeplus timezone.ini'. If the plugin does not find that file, wallpaper will be changed everytime the PSP boots." So there you have it. Enjoy! Download: ThemePlus! v1.01 Visit: QJ.NET PSP Development Forum |
