PSP tubeThis mod comes from Ardatan. It's a mod of JK108's Ultimate PSPTube mod, which is, in turn, a mod of SofiyaCat's PSPTube. Ardatan's mod is based off of JK108's v2.0, and this one makes Ultimate PSPTube load faster by allocating/unlocking more memory for it - sort of like what the Netfront Internet Browser does.

PSP - Image 1PSP Homebrew coder Mr305 dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce the release of WIFI Power Saver Plugin v1. According to the author, this homebrew plugin is a quick and easy way to turn off the PSP's WiFi function via a simple button-press.

This was designed to help PSP owners using their unit's web browser to make the most out of their PSP's battery life by turning off unneeded systems. This first release has been reported to work on 3.40 OE-A, and does not appear to conflict with other plugins.

As Mr305 states, "In the NetFront Web Browser, in case you haven't noticed this, even with WLAN Power Save on, the PSP remains connected to Access Point even after page is fully loaded, which greatly draws the battery power." To turn off your WiFi, press Down + Square. Clicking on site links and searching will reactivate your WiFi connection.

Installation instructions should be available at Mr305's release thread over at the QJ.Net Forums - head on over in case you need other related details. Enjoy the download!

iR Shell Configurator

Now here's something you don't see everyday! It looks like the famous PSP coder that brought us the 2.71 SE firmwares has released an HTML Plugin for Ahman's recently-released iR Shell version 3.0 on Firmware 2.71. This only works with the firmware 2.71 version of iR Shell 3.0 since the plugin makes use of the internal Sony/Access PSP Netfront browser (sorry folks, it wouldn't work on 1.50). It will allow you to read html files, but just remember to use the extension .htm instead of .html in the iR Shell Configurator, because iR Shell only supports 3-character extensions.

Remember to install the plugin to the "EXTAPP" iR Shell directory in an empty slot (with iR Shell 3.0, it could be anything up to "APP20"). If you don't have a list which extends as far as this, you can create any folder from "APP11" to "APP20". The source code has been included in the download archive.

We'd like to say thank you to Dark_Alex for taking the time out of his busy schedule to make this plugin!
