The PSPGen team sure tries hard to make good on their promises. After pushing back the launch of CFW 5.03 GEN-B for HEN due to some last minute bugs last night, now we are off to have a merrier Halloween, thanks to the finally and fully launched product. Although they were not able to overcome the bug that presented itself at the last minute, we still very much appreciate their efforts for the homebrew scene.

An update just went up on PSPGen's site, and in it came the announcement that the much anticipated Custom Firmware 5.03GEN for HEN-B is in the process of being finalized. Said their teaser, "You have a PSP-3000 (or PSP-2000 v3) and official firmware higher than the 5.03? This announcement will make you happy..." Then what are you waiting for!? The latest update for the North American PlayStation Store is now available. You can now grab the much awaited PSN game Fat Princess, a classic PS1 game Spec Ops: Airborne Commando and Madden NFL 10 demo. Also included this week is a hefty pack of add-on contents for your favorite titles. Not to be outdone, three new games for the PSP is now ready for download.

The North American PSN update is now available. This week's PlayStation Store lineup has a variety of titles for all gamers. To start the list, you have the downloadable puzzler game Droplitz, a PS1 classic game Mobile Light Force, The BIGS 2 Demo, new add-on contents for High Velocity Bowling and LittleBigPlanet, four downloadable games for the PSP and more.

OK, so here it is guys. French site PSPGen together with their developer code named GENyUS has finally released the much awaited Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-A yesterday for PSP fat and slim users (with TA-088 v1 and v2) users. This new CFW supports all the functions of the official firmware 5.50 with Pops and ISO support. Today they have also released build 4 of CFW 5.50GEN-A to fix the PSN network bug issue. Read more.

The addition of classic PlayStation games to the PlayStation Store was a smart move. Not totally unexpected, but smart. There are still a lot of gamers out there who grew up on Sony's first gaming console and are itching to try their hand again on the games they grew up with. The problem is, the number of PS1 classics on the PlayStation Store is still depressingly low. If you still have your old PS1 game disc, though, you won't have to wait for your favorite games to show up on the PlayStation Store. All you need is a PSP.

Sure, they're getting a lot of flak about their supposed nickel-and-diming ways right now, but Capcom has some pretty good news for PS3 and PSP owners who still love playing through old PSOne games.

It's not quite that uber cool "advanced multi-tasking" iR Shell just yet, but here's a new version coming straight from AhMan. Think of this as an interim update. iR Shell v4.92 paves the way to incorporate support for Dark AleX's LEDA tool and RemoteJoy improvements.
