The homebrew coders from the ScummVM Team has finally release version 1.0.0 of their classic multi-platform point-and-click adventure games emulator. The latest ScummVM update is said to be one of the best release of the emulator so far. Details after the jump.

It's numbers time again! The latest hardware sales figures from Japan's Media Create has been release, and competition is getting tighter as the PS3 inches closer and closer to the top, needing only about a thousand more units before overtaking the long-reigning DSi.

We have a rather sizeable haul of new games this week. The cream of the crop includes such titles as Tekken 6, DJ Hero, Forza Motorsport 3, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, and that undying (not undead -- no, that would actually be cool) Petz series. Dig in and see which games fit your tastes and budget.

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that they're bringing another old title back in the market. The PS2 classic, Shadow of Destiny, will breathe new life on the PSP.

The parade of From Software's PS2-to-PSP ports continues in Japan. With Armored Core 3 Portable already out, it's time for Armored Core: Silent Line Portable to take the spotlight. Check out the game's new trailer videos after the jump.

A lot of games are coming out this week. A veritable rainbow of releases, if you will. If we scale it, the red part (ROY G BIV, remember?) would include big titles like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for PSP, Borderlands, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 and FIFA Soccer 10. From Software has released the debut trailer for the PSP version of Tenchu Kurenai (known as Tenchu: Fatal Shadows outside Japan), one of the six PS2-to-PSP ports included in their "Portable Series." Check it out after the jump.

We've seen shoddy PS2-to-PSP ports before, but Atlus has seemingly succeeded in keeping Persona 3 Portable from getting that dubious non-honor. Check out how the game translates to the Sony handheld in this new trailer.

Nothing official has issued forth from the mouths of Konami representatives yet, but the Silent Hill overhaul, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (PS2, PSP, Wii), may be facing a bit of a delay. Kotaku reports that listings from online retailers GameFly and GameStop now have the game's release pegged at about a month later than the date it was originally slated for.

We now have the results for this week's Japanese hardware sales for the week of September 28 through October 4, thanks to Media Create. Stats show that PSP got a major leg up, thanks to the launch of the PSP Go, as well as the Wii, thanks to the release of Wii Fit Plus.
