Despite Sony's efforts to keep homebrew out of their PSP handheld, the homebrew community is still going strong. This week saw news of Sony-instigated blockages, which will hopefully be circumvented by the newly-announced (and not yet released) new CFW update from the GEN team. Homebrew coder Mediumgauge is back to release a new version of PSP Filer, a very handy file management application for the PSP. The latest update now supports 7-zip file format.

It's been a rather busy seven days for the PSP homebrew community. The great homebrew hope is still burning bright thanks to Freeplay's hack for the PSP Go (that was fast, wasn't it?), and custom firmware users who don't want to upgrade to non-M33 firmware have steadily been given better and better chances of playing new games on their old firmware thanks to Yoshihiro's frequent Game Decrypter updates and the arrival of a new app called Eboot Patcher. Mediumgauge had released a new version for the popular file manager, PSP Filer. The program got several bug fixes and a bunch of new features, including improvements to the OSK. Full changelog after the link.

PSP Pandora Deluxe is back with an update. DJB has now incorporated Dark AleX's PSP CFW 5.00 M33-4 into the PC app to make your Pandora installation that much more hassle-free. as always, a couple of support tools have also been updated.
