Bruce Lee fans may want to let out a jolly Lee-style whoop, as homebrew developer PSPKOR announces the third release of his Bruce Lua title. For those who can't recall (it has been a while) this game is a homebrew port of the retro game released for the Zx Spectrum and Commodore 64. The object of this title for you to beat the living snot out of Street-Fighter's Ryu. Though you're probably wondering why he demoted it to v1 Beta. According to PSPKOR, the game went through considerable changes over the past months, and along with some bugs, this version will be his basis for all future updates, hence its v1 Beta title. As for the changelog:

PSPKOR has released a new version of his homebrew beat 'em up title coded in Lua, Bruce Lua to v0.2 today. Bruce lua is a homebrew clone of the retro game released for the Zx Spectrum and Commodore 64 consoles back in the 80's. It features side-scrolling gameplay and an enemy AI. The first release of this game, which features martial arts legend Bruce Lee and Street Fighter front-man Ryu, went down well with QJ readers a few weeks ago, and hopefully this release that packs more features and a decent enemy AI should be the same. Here's the changelog:

Bruce Lua is a new side-scrolling homebrew game for the PSP by PSPKOR. Right now, the game is still in its infancy, and only the training mode is playable. The aim of training mode is to destroy the three boards that Bruce Lee is practicing on. Using a combination of kicks and punches, you must destroy each of the three boards one by one. When hitting the boards, make sure that Bruce's foot or hand hits the board or his attacks will have no effect. Controls: Triangle - Punch Circle - Kick X - Jump D-pad Left - Move Backwards D-pad Right - Move Forward For PSPKOR's first-ever LUA game, Bruce Lua is looking pretty good, and has promise as a sidescrolling beat-em-up game. Check out the screenshots. Oh, and the coder apologizes for the pun. PSPKOR made sure to put that in the readme file. Download: [Bruce Lua] |
