This Black Friday, you can get a whole lot of good PSP deals. How cheap exactly? Okay, at Circuit City, they're selling GTA: VCS for thirty bucks, you get a free Pelican kit with a purchase of a PSP, and ATV Offroad, Ape Escape, Infected, and Hot Shots Golf are all ten dollars each. What else? Oh, yeah, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is only US$ 17, so get happy with Captain Jack or something. At Wal-mart GTA: LCS sells for only US$ 15, and a PSP will go for only US$ 170. At Meijer, a PSP will go for even lower at US$ 150! Target only gives you a US$ 25 gift card for a PSP purchase, but hey, that's still 25 bucks worth of things to give to relatives on X-mas. |

A QJ reader, who goes by the name of Kay, sent a word of caveat to PSP owners who purchased the recently-released PSP FM Modulator (or Transmitter, if you want to avoid the redundancy). It was discovered that the said modulator has a bug. Apparently, it doesn't maintain the audio of Burnout Legends after about a minute of gameplay. So, if you bought the product to let your friends hear the awesome sound effects of the game in your car stereo, then prepare for a face-saving excuse. Kay said, "I called the techs and we discussed them putting out a compatibility list of games for it. I'll let you know if anything else is put out." This is bad news for Pelican, who over the past months have gotten the ire of consumers due to the release of faulty PSP power bricks. |

We all agree that the best travel companion is your PSP. What if you're
the designated driver and you can't even lift a finger off the wheel?
What then? Just to get a sense of your PSP being by your side, a good
idea would be to hook it up to your car stereo. So everybody can enjoy
music, movies and games stored in your PSP.What you have to do is set your car stereo to the frequency that is also on the modulator, usually it's in the area of 88.7 or 89.1. Plug the RCA connectors from the cable into the RCA jacks on the modulator. Now take the headphone end of the cable into the PSP and there you have it. One example of such FM modulators is Pelican's PSP FM Modulator that has full channels from 88.1 to 107.9. It sells at Gamestop for $29.99. |
