PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Yes, the PSP Go is still making headlines. The problem is, the main one we heard this week wasn't exactly flattering. The Go has been getting a mostly lukewarm reception since its launch earlier this month, and the trend continues in Australia. There's a silver lining, though: overall PSP sales have reportedly gone up since the Go hit retail. Sony most probably have software sales to thank for that. Oh, and maybe the Go's making people buy PSP-3000s. Just speculating. For the facts, hit the jump and check out this week's PSP Weekend Warrior.

Lumines - Image 1It's not too far-fetched an idea that Q-Games will be bringing the famed Lumines games - both I and II - on the PSP Go. Their post on Twitter is enough give-away to lead to that conclusion, after all.

PSP Weekend Warrior - Image 1Uncool. Expensive. That's what Apple thinks of the PSP. That may well be, but thanks to TGS we heard a lot of good -- and frankly, some really bad -- news for the Sony handheld. The good news is that there are free games in store for those upgrading to the PSP Go. The bad news is that you won't be able to play your sizable collection of UMD games if you trade in your UM drive-equipped PSP just to have enough money for that darn Go. Sucks, right? At least all the games we heard about in the past seven days are still going to end up being playable on older PSPs. Read on for all the action in the PSP Weekend Warrior.

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe - Image 1Uh-oh, looks like not everyone's fine with being left out of Sony's TGS booth. Q-Games, through Dylan Cuthbert, have tweeted their frustration at the way Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) is handling their newest PSP title, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe.

PixelJunk Monsters Delux at E3 2009 - Image 1If you're one of the lucky guys who got into the LA Convention Center, then you might've run into PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe at Sony's booth. Apparently, it's so fun that booth attendees are having trouble getting hooked players to pass the PSPs to the guys in queue. But even if you got in and played the game, there's no way you could've seen this feature - Q-Games has added online co-op play, so there's gonna be more towers, more defenses, and more level-dancing.

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe - Image 1When Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert said the PSP version of PixelJunk Monsters would contain "50% more content", he wasn't kidding. For PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe they're cramming in content from Monsters, the Encore expansion pack, and the brand new Gati Gati Island.

PixelJunk Monsters - Image 1Q-Games has been pretty tight-lipped about their PixelJunk Monsters project for the PSP. We know that it's slated for a release this year, but when exactly will that be? If a product listing on Play-Asia is to be believed, it could be arriving this June already.

PixelJunk MonstersWho said bringing a PSN title to the PSP means having to deliver everything bite-sized? Developer Q-Games promises to deliver us more bang for the buck with the release of PixelJunk Monsters on the PSP, but whether or not PixelJunk Eden will get the same treatment, we've yet to see.

PixelJunk - Image 1It may not be quite as good as a full-on announcement complete with a PR-speak-studded press release, but here's a little something that should get fans of the PixelJunk series whooping for joy. In a blog post on the US PlayStation blog, Q-Games President Dylan Cuthbert teased that 2009 may see the release of at least two new games in the PixelJunk series. More after the jump.
