SANQUA Horizons 9 - Image 1SANQUA Horizons 9 - Image 2SANQUA Horizons 9 - Image 3

We've already mentioned this before but we're going to say it again: SANQUA is one of the more picturesque PlayStation Portable magazine out there and that's why we don't mind that it's totally written in French. Every time a new issue comes out, we see to it that we browse through every single page.

Speaking of which, QJ.net reader Raphael G. (also a member of the publication) sent us an email regarding their magazine's latest issue, SANQUA Horizons 9. The copy has a total of 256 pages and has dedicated sections to Nights, Stuntman 2, Call of Duty 4, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Manhunt 2, as well as Silent Hill Origins.

Aside from the already mentioned, SANQUA Horizons 9 also has an in-depth feature story on Introversion Software's Mark Morris as he discussed Digital distribution and the return of the Indies". This one is written in English so non-French speakers also has something to look forward to in this issue.

Like we said, this issue is quite beefy and we will just let you find for yourselves what else is included in SANQUA Horizons 9.

SANQUA 6 - Image 1 SANQUA 6 - Image 2

As mentioned by my co-blogger, Max when he covered the same mag a few months back,"this is one of the best looking PSP magazines we've eveer seen". I personally couldn't agree with him more. Just what are we talking about? Well, the team behind the Frech magazine, SANQUA, has recently unveiled Horizons 6 of their mag. And as always, they've added that classic, picturesque touch to it, that's why most of us here don't mind if we can't read French...it's really pretty to look at anyway.

Anyhow, looking through it, we saw that they have a section that seems to be dedicated to the Gran Turismo HD demo. There are also numerous interviews with different gaming personalities. Aside from that, the SANQUA team also covered the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii console launches. The magazine has a whopping 298 pages, so for our readers who know French, this would be a treat. And since it's the spirit of giving, why don't you share to us (and to every QJ reader) some tidbits from this issue? Download link's right there! Have fun you guys!

roadandtrack

Alright, a very minute population of the male gaming community might argue with this writer's choice of title for this post, but c'mon. Whether you guys admit it or not, y'know the sight of beautiful fast cars on your beloved handhelds induces a certain bliss on your part. I may be far from being an expert on this, given that I belong to the other side of the sexual spectrum, but in my experience, there are very few things guaranteed to catch a man's attention: video games (and/or gaming in general), women, basketball (or some other sport), and fast cars.

So if my theory holds true, we score two out of four with today's post because today we bring you another issue of Road and Track, entitled "New for 2007", which runs down the hottest and fastest rides for 2007. Doesn't matter whether you're rich enough to actually consider buying one of these babies or you're simply daydreaming, as long as you have a PSP, there should be no stopping you from downloading this PSP mag and having autorgasms of sorts.

But hey, if you're one of those guys who refuse to give in to the lure of beautiful AND fast cars, you can always check out our other magazine downloads which deals more with gaming -- our latest one up for grabs is "Elementality Video Mag", which you can download right here. But for all you guys who wanna check out next year's hottest rides, go on and download the mag below.

This is one of the best-looking PSP/mobile magazines we've ever seen. And it's 284 pages of content. It is unfortunate that all the French we know can be condensed to the few phrases we remember from Disney's "Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast".

SANQUA Horizons 4 is the fourth issue (obviously) of the French PSP magazine (JPG format). There's also a Pocket PC version (PDF format; you can get this from their website). Of course, you can read the magazine in your PC, too.

Issue 4 has the following goodies:
  • Part 1 :TOUCH ! - General news - Under Arrest : with Eric Viennot (In Memoriam) - Hype on the latest games - HANDS ON : Tetris DS (nds) - HANDS ON : Titan Quest (pc) - HANDS ON : Tekken Dark Resurrection (psp) - ohlala ! The hardware news - The hardware traps : the golden price of printer's ink
  • Part 2 : THINK ! - Le roi de la casse : Lord of the Rings - a "not so good" adaptation by Peter Jackson - It's up to you : alternative communities - Memories : Speedball 2 (Amiga)
  • Part 3 : THRIVE! - Here of there : tourism in China - Bright & Obscure : Egocrash - Prez : French politics - DEAF : KORN - SANKUA : A day in Kyoto
Finally, why are we even hosting this French-language opus in what is an English-language website? For a few reasons.
  • First, I like the layout and artistic direction of this magazine, and I think that other PSP, mobile, and e-magazine makers can take a few ideas from SANQUA.
  • Second, there are probably French speakers who come to this site, just as how there are German speakers. And French speakers who read this site in English may appreciate learning about a publication that's in their native language.
That's all for now. If you like this publication, look for the next issue. SANQUA is published monthly. Their website link is below.

Sanqua HorizonsIn just less than two months, Ralph G. sends us yet again an update about French magazine Sanqua Horizons. The team that makes the said magazine available for PSP and PPC recently came up with Sanqua Horizons 3.

For PSP users, be sure to have Winrar. After decompressing the file to your PC, you will have the whole repertoire of Sanqua. Then by attaching your PSP to the PC, balance it to your PSP/Photo. You can find the magazine in the folder "Photographs." For PPC users on the other hand, you will be needing the latest version of Acrobat reader for the Pocket PC. Install it then using ActiveSync and then make a software reset.

To those who are not familiar with this, Sanqua Horizons is a 300-plus page gaming magazine that feature Wii, DS, PS3, and a couple of PC games. It also includes at times alternative games, and touches even on the political side of things. We know it's in French so though we can't say its a good read, we can say it's a good look.
