The "second analog nub" mantra has since become sort of a call to arms for a vocal portion of PSP users. When Sony revealed that the new PSP Go would still have only one analog nub, these dissatisfied users ranted and raved about what they considered a "stupid" decision. There's a reason for every decision, though. As for the lack of a second analog nub on the PSP Go, Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, says that they did consider adding it, but it was just too early in the PSP's life cycle to implement it now.

Japanese news site Game Watch managed to dig up more info on the PSP Go, shedding yet more light on Sony's new piece of hardware. They got word on the talked-about DualShock3/Sixaxis support, the in-game XMB feature, and pics of the PSP Go side-by-side with a PSP-3000 to give you the comparison that specs can't give. Excited about Resistance: Retribution, especially after all those sweet features Sony promised? Yeah, me too! If you're into multiplayer modes, however, this news might dampen that excitement a little bit. Tiny. Okay, a bit bigger, maybe. GamePro recently sat down with Kazunori Yamauchi, the lead producer behind the Gran Turismo series, to talk about what's in store for the popular racing franchise.

Among the many new features in the coming iterations of the Gran Turismo series is GT TV where players can view real-life motoring shows. When asked, Yamauchi revealed that the speed at which videos will become available depends on the type of content.

"If it's race footage, people would want to see it immediately or as soon as possible due to the nature of a race," said Yamauchi. "Whereas a documentary-style program, there is less of an urgency. It could be a month after airing, or shorter or longer."

It also looks like limited Sixaxis support similar to the one in Gran Turismo HD Concept will be included in Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Players will remember that putting down the Sixaxis controller in GT HD Concept caused a menu to appear. Yamauchi said that these elements will hopefully be implemented in Prologue, but not any kind of Sixaxis steering.

While Gran Turismo 5: Prologue will be available in both Blu-ray and PSN versions in Europe, it looks like the U.S. will be getting only the Blu-ray version of the game. A Gran Turismo title for the Sony PlayStation Portable also looks like a possibility. According to Yamauchi, it would probably come after Gran Turismo 5. "We are working on it, and we will get around to it eventually," he said.

There have indeed been a lot of announcements made during the Tokyo Game Show, and some of you might be so overwhelmed with trying to keep up with all the news. We're helping you out by compiling all of the biggest revelations that dropped in during the TGS 2007.

Some might argue that this year's show wasn't as big as last year's, but that's because last year had more build-up for the release of the two new next-gen consoles, the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Some of the major players in this year's show have some of the third parties like Capcom and Konami taking the spotlight. Square Enix had their fair share of announcements as well.

And because we're just totally swamped with the news, we're lifting the hyperlink limit for this edition. Better you get a lot of updates than just a small portion of it. Expect some healthy spammage, people!
