It's another jam-packed episode for QuickPeek - this, even though we're a day short from the usual seven-day cut-off. GTA 4 is still making waves a full month after its release and there seems to be some explosion of sorts among homebrew emulators across different platforms. Grab them green-skinned creatures and follow the exodus to the odd world of gaming! |

Those who want to get more images of their much-awaited Final Fantasy games are in luck: Shonen Jump just released some new images for two upcoming Final Fantasy titles.First off is a quite large image of Zack Fair, protagonist of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. There are some quite telling screenshots of to the side of Zack's profile image, but even though we couldn't read Japanese we do know that the images look sweet, and the game most probably wouldn't disappoint its fans. Next, just below the Crisis Core splash, are some images from Final Fantasy A2: the Sealed Grimoire. It looks like the characters shown here are the last two tribes that will be included in the game. If we aren't mistaken, that red-headed kid on the left looks like an Egul, a tribe from Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. It's a hard fact that we just can't get enough of the Final Fantasy franchise. More updates to come! |

The original Final Fantasy VII on the PlayStation has forever become ingrained in the hearts and minds of many an RPG gamer as one of the best games ever made. These are the same people for whom Square Enix is releasing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for. Fans of all things Final Fantasy (I am referring to those who ordered the potion set, drank the liquid, and pretended to like it) are definitely not going to miss this game for the world.
This game is the prequel to the FF VII game and joins the the three other parts of the series. So what new information do these scans from Shonen Jump provide? Well, basically, it confirms the presence of Shizune (Turk) and Yuffie. If that's not enough, it also confirms that Yuffie will be a playable character in a few of the later missions, so fans of this cute girl have more reason to pick up the game. The game is slated to be released in Japan on September 13 with the international release hopefully following suit. Check out the scans to see if you can squeeze out more information we may have missed. Keep checking back here for more updates on Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the PSP. |

We came across a new magazine scan featuring Square Enix's upcoming PSP title Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. It's been a while since we last posted anything about this game, so here you go. The scan comes from the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump, so the standard QJ Japanese disclaimer applies here. The lower left part of the scan shows Ifrit, one of the constants in the Final Fantasy universe. Ifrit can once again be summoned in this game, and like some of the previous Final Fantasy titles, you first have to beat him before you can use him in battle. Well, that's pretty much all we know about the scan. If you wanna check out the trailer, click here for the one with subtitles. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is slated for an August release in Japan. The demo's reportedly coming this month. |

Final Fantasy fans will certainly get a kick out of this news, as Gamefront reports that the Crisis Core prequel to FFVII is scheduled for release in Japan some time in August. According to information Gamefront gathered from Shonen Jump, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII will be seeing the light of day on August 2, 2007. The game, which features the story of Cloud Strife's best friend Zack, will apparently chronicle the events leading up to the Nibelheim massacre, as well as the appearance of the famed Buster Sword. Square Enix fans may have to wait a few more months. At least, this time, they finally have a date to wait for. Hopefully, new information on the game will come out in the next few days, following the announcement of the game's fabled release date. |

We found a new scan for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII that will make you a bit happy. We really can't translate what's on the page, but it is obvious that the the scan, courtesy of magazine Shonen Jump, focuses on Zack and Angeal. You might already be familiar with Zack as he was discussed by Square Enix because of the game's combat system DIGITAL Mind Wave. Angeal, on the other hand, is the shadowy one as he is a newly introduced character during the time of the Crisis Core events. It is curious to know if Angeal's wings has a relationship of some sorts with Sephiroth and Genesis. Each of the two bears, as you all know, one black wing. Sephiroth has one on his right while Genesis has another on his left. Crisis Core will be released in Japan sometime this spring. We pray and hope that Square Enix hears the pleas of all the fans from other countries to release this game worldwide. |
