Just like Europe, North America isn't getting any new PS3 demos with this week's PlayStation Store update (there is one for PSP). There's still a lot of new stuff, though: the full Age of Booty game, PAIN's The Hoff character and Movie Studio lot, the usual weekly track packs, and a huge helping of FIFA 09 and Need For Speed: Undercover DLC. The full list is after the jump. |

We here are QJ are always on the lookout for good deals to share with you guys. Today, we came across an offer from GAME that might be worth a second look. They are currently putting a number of their PSP games under the "Buy one Take one" label. Here are some of the titles included in that bargain for our friends over at UK. GAME.co.uk is putting up Crush, TOCA Race Driver 3 Challenge, Sid Meier's Pirates and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for £ 24.99 (US$ 50). Mercury Meltdown, Sega Mega Drive Collection, and Power Stone Collection on the other hand will cost you £ 19.99 (US$ 40). More popular games like GTA: Vice City Stories, Driver 76, and Prince of Persia Rival Swords are available for £ 29.99 (US$ 60). Lastly, Burnout Dominator and Pro Evo Soccer 6 can be yours for £ 9.99 ($ 20). Considering they're being sold over at UK, not bad 'ey? While we can't necessary call them a steal, it's nice to have different options every once in and a while. Feel free to check them out. |

We've got some artwork for the upcoming Sid Meier game called Civilization Revolution. The master of strategy games takes his new title for a multi-platform run and we couldn't be more excited. Firaxis Games is working with 2K Games to make all the platforms viable ones for Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution. At this point, they're relatively mum on details except for the announcement that it will ship for all platforms involved next spring. Judging from these screens, the devs will maintain some elements of the previous games in the series such as growth and development of technology. Much speculation can be made as to how the controls will be for consoles and what kind of engine the game will employ. Civilizations Revolution is certainly a game to watch out for and we'll update you as soon as more info is on the table. |

It's official: Sid Meier's Civilization is finally reaching out to consoles and handhelds from its roots on the PC. For those who've been living in some uncivilized, backwater planet, this is the timeless classic that sucked gamers in to spend hours on end. It's one of those "just one more turn..." turn-based strategy games that gave people sleepless nights thanks to the virtual nation they have to manage.
If you missed the announcement, Civilization Revolution promises to be true to its name - taking the franchise to an entirely new direction. We won't be shooting aliens FPS style, or jumping around platforms, but the latest installment will deliver intense combat and constant action among other things. Still not warmed up? Let us serve you a smoking hot debut trailer to awaken your senses. In it, we see a montage of the various eras you'd go through in the game. Explore, lead, rule... |

This could very well be a groundbreaking announcement for strategy fans on all platforms, or at least for fans of Sid Meier. It's just been announced that the Civilization series will be taking a step into new territory in the form of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, which will be made for the console and handheld platforms. Firaxis Games will be developing Civilization Revolution, with 2K Games taking care of publishing the title. If you're wondering what's going to be new with this game, look out: Some of the key features that will resonate with fans of strategy games and the Civilization franchise include 16 civilizations to master and lead to victory, an array of famous historical leaders to play as or compete against, and accessible maps and streamlined time scale for quicker games, intense combat, and constant action. In online multiplayer mode, players will compete for world conquest and glory among their peers as they battle in teams, head-to-head or epic free-for-all matches. In addition, auto-matching, ranked games, leaderboards, achievements, downloadable extra content and integrated video and voice chat make the online play more versatile and fun than any previous version of Civilization and will allow players to see where they stand against the competition. Finally, the position of ruler of the world can be settled online. No word on where the game will be made playable, but there's a good chance we'll be seeing it on all the consoles. We'll have more on this when we hear of it. In the meantime, let us know how you think Civilization should be handled on the platform of your liking. |

Avast, landlubbers! Take-Two Interactive and Firaxis happily announce that a bunch of scurvy knaves shall invade game stores as scheduled today, packaged in little UMD discs for the PSP. Certainly one of the more interesting ports to the PSP we've seen in some time now, Sid Meier's Pirates! is now available at your friendly neighborhood store for the price of eight doubloons, or US $ 22.99 (and since doubloons are extinct, that leaves...).If you have played the PC or Xbox 360 version of this update of a Sid Meier classic, then you know what to expect: ships, sails, swashbuckles, revenge against a family enemy, and Dance Dance Revolution with every Governor's daughter in the Carribean. And the PSP version promises four-way battles via Wi-Fi, and "fully-utilized widescreen and controls" (hey, we had to quote on that one). This writer remembers the PC version being a hoot, and having it on the go might be quite a nice idea, too (hey, I don't have a laptop...). Let's see how this game plays in the days to come. Now excuse me, but aren't there a couple of decks that need some swabbing? |

Gamers will be seeing quite a few games hit retail shelves for the week of January 22. There's a bit of strategy here, with Europa Universalis III for the PC, as well as the swashbuckling action of Sid Meier's Pirates! for the Sony PSP. Anime fans also get a little something courtesy of the Nintendo DS title InuYasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel. Those looking for something eerie and noir-ish should get both and more from Hotel Dusk: Room 215, and those who want a little madness in their gaming lives should definitely check out Sam and Max 3: The Mole, the Mob, and the Meatball.
Here's a list of the releases, sorted by date: January 22
