PSP homebrew coder Sleepy (aka Sleepy566) dropped us a line to let us know that Devhook Firmware Installer has been updated to version 0.6i. As Sleepy explained "This program was originally created by Tommydanger, as a n00b friendly way to install new scary firmwares into Devhook easily."

Sleepy is responsible for later modifications to this PSP-based app, which have been improving its compatibility. As for this homebrew's latest changelog:

• Added full support for firmware 3.40 (please note that devhook doesn't support 3.30+)
• Bug fixes (not all fixed, check out readme for more info)
• Added newest Devhook and folders for all the firmwares you could decrypt (though unsupported)
• Added firmware 1.50 as an example of where to keep FWs (much confusion on that point)
  

Version 0.6i is expected to work on 1.00, 1.50, 2.71 SE (all), and all OE firmware, although the author is requesting that users avoid emailing him on why this app won't run on 3.03 or 3.11 fws anymore. He further notes experiencing errors when trying to decrypt fw 3.30 - fixes for this problem are underway.

Homebrew developer Sleepy (aka Sleepy566 in the QJ.Net Forums) just updated the very useful application DevHook Firmware Installer to v0.6h.

This program was originally created by Tommydanger to help those who are rather afraid of installing new firmwares to DevHook. And anyone who has used this before will agree that it is quite noob-friendly and it takes away all your homebrew fears. That doesn't mean though that you will not take precautions.

Anyway, Sleepy566 said that as of the moment, there are no known issues for DevHook Firmware Installer v0.6h. Everything is ready to run, as the coder included the customized Devhook 0.52010000. And as such, it should run on all known firmwares. Below is the complete changelog for this version. Please make it a point to browse through the Readme file before using this.

Ah, DevHook. Just the sheer mention of it sends shivers down the spine. So, you can just imagine our joy when homebrew coder Sleepy566 dropped by QJ Forums and informed us about an updated version of Tommydanger-original DevHook Firmware Installer.

In the last version, v0.6d, Sleepy566 mentioned that the application could install 3.11. However, the coder noticed that there were a couple of few missing code lines that allow full support for 3.11. Sleepy fixed that, and this program should run on all firmwares now.

Remember that you need to have the latest version DevHook installed to run this installer. Once you have that, extract everything in the ZIP file to the root of your memory stick. The changelog for Devhook Firmware Installer v0.6f is as follows:

Version 0.6f: Added full support for 3.11 (Didn't realize it was missing) and Minor bug fixes
Version 0.6e: Bug fixes, sometimes "couldn't generate OUT file"
