We hope you remember the homebrew game Super Mario War from way back June of 2006 which was created by Percival. Well, one coder decided to give that homebrew a makeover: folks, we share with you Sp3ct0r's Anime Wars v1. Super Mario War and Anime Wars are basically the same. One of the major difference is that instead of stomping the bejeezus out of enemy Mario characters, you will be fighting against various characters from popular anime shows in Anime Wars. Some of the 36 playable characters include Naruto, Goku, Sakura, Inuyasha, and Rock Lee. Sp3ct0r also mentioned that many of Super Mario War's features were incorporated in this release. So that means you can fight a total of three CPU units at a time, in mention many modes of gameplay. Anime Wars v1 also sports an anime soundtrack, a bunch of unique anime levels, and all-new weapons such as shuriken, kunai, Ninja Needles, etc.). Lastly, the coder said that the game sometimes crashes, but that he's working on it and this issue will surely be addressed in the next version. Ad-hoc support will be implemented the moment Sp3ct0r gets the source code for that feature (somebody give it to the guy, please). In the mean time, just enjoy this game and as always, don't forget to give your shout-outs to the developer. Download: Anime Wars v1 |

Here's a little something for those who love customizing their PSPs. Sp3ct0r has released a set of Halo XMB icons. Check it out by downloading the whole icon set below. Oh, and in case you're wondering, Sp3ct0r says that the battery icon's made up of magnum bullets. Before you install this icon set, please make a backup of your original topmenu_plugin. And be careful, fer chrissakes. PSPs are expensive. If you're looking for homebrew apps that let you change your PSP's XMB icons, be sure to check out dark420bishop's PSP Submenu Icon Injector. ZiNgABuRgA's RCO Icon Editor is also a cool app, so check it out too. If you've got a bunch of homemade icons for the PSP, don't hesitate to log on to the QJ forums and release 'em there. Spread the homebrew love, people. Download: [Halo XMB icon set] |
