ZKL54 gave us word of a new modification for 3.10 OE-A that's useful out there for those folks who always worry about space constraints. Smashly's USB Mod v4b for 3.10 OE-A will actually help you save on space on your memory stick by enabling you to stream files from your PC via the USB.According to the developer, this is actually an unofficial update of TheBuzzer's modification for SE-C. If you remember him, he also made a useful and rather prolific application known as the GUI DEVHOOK Launcher, so you can bet that this little modification's base programming came from a great app maker. Of course, using this might sound like a bit of a hassle, since the main reason you probably use the PopStation is to play on the go. Despite this, USB Mod may save you a lot of trouble when it comes to accessing certain files on the fly, though we wonder just how well this would work with PopStation. That being said, remember to check the readme for instructions so you don't muck up your PC or your PSP, grab a long USB cable, and see what magic you can make with this little app. Download: [USB Mod v4b For 3.10 OE-A] Download: [usbhostfs PC Win v1.5] Download: [PC Driver] |

The last we heard of Chunglam was way back in the tail-end of October when he just released version 1.65c of his creation, the Devhook Launcher/ VSHEX Mod. But, lookie here, Chunglam is back at the scene, doing what he does best - and that is dishing out updates for this app. This time, he released version 1.65c3 of this app.First time QJ reader? New PSP owner? Just in case everything in this article looks like Cuneiform to you, well let us give you a picture of what this app is. Basically, Chunglam's Devhook Launcher/ VSHEX Mod is a spin-off of TheBuzzer's Devhook GUI Launcher Mod. Chunglam doesn't want you to be in the dark as to how to use this app so he provided a detailed readme, Mini FAQ, and history texts that you should all read - regardless if you're a first-time user or not. With this update, Chunglam is indeed keeping up with the times as he just added cheat device">Edison Carter's Cheat Device 1.0d PRX for GTA-LCS and Cheat Device 2.1a PRX for GTA-Vice City Stories. Before we end this, we would like to thank BobJoe for the tip. So with that, let's jump to the changelog. Version 1.65c3

From version 1.65b, Chunglam is now up and about reminding us that the Devhook Launcher/VSHEX Mod ain't over till the whole dev thingy is over. We've counted just a little less than a week and bang! Another update called version 1.65c. This time it's quite a smaller one though, and here's the changelog:

Looks like somebody is really slaving to perfect an almost perfect app. Showing the grit, determination and the skills that a model homebrew developer should possess, Chunglam has once again updated his mod of TheBuzzer's DevHook GUI Launcher. A couple of days after releasing the DevHook Launcher/ VSHEX Mod version 1.64, he has once again made us gush with his busy-bee ways and updated it to v.1.64a. Truly, the homebrew community is loving this mod and with the constant updates and great features, who wouldn't?
Again, we find it hard to believe that this is the first time that you'll be reading about this, that is if you are an ardent QJ reader. But if for some insane reason you've skipped reading about this app or this is your first time to land on QJ territory, then we suggest that you catch up on your reading. The dev has provided a very detailed mini FAQ and readme text that comes with the download. We also suggest reading our past coverage of the app so as you'll have a clearer picture of what you're getting and how to maximize its functions. In version 1.64, he has added firmware 2.71 SE-A support (including 2.71 NANDFLASH emulation mode) among many other improvements. The launcher and VSHEXMOD also had their share of ample changes. This time around, there was no reported change in the VSHEXMOD, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Let's jump to the changelog shall we? And on a more personal note, keep up the good work and spunk, Chunglam. We hope to hear from you soon. Changelog for Version 1.64a

We think homebrew developer, TheBuzzer, would be so proud of fellow dev, Chunglam. Merely a few days after releasing the DevHook Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.63a, Chunglam has once again informed us that he has come up with version 1.64 of this DevHook GUI Launcher Mod. The DevHook GUI Launcher was the creation of TheBuzzer- hence the reason why he might be so proud of his fellow dev's conquests. If this is the first time you're reading about this app, it wouldn't hurt you guys to read over the mini FAQ and readme files provided with the download. We don't want you inducing harm to your PSP or suffering any inconvenience, so read on, it's good for you. In the small span of time ever since the release of v1.63a, the good developer has obviously tinkered around the app that resulted to many new additions in this versions, so let's go over them now. Earlier today, Chunglam released his Devhook Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.63. It's a revival of TheBuzzer's Devhook GUI Launcher Mod. There's been quite a little mix-up though, and Chunglam apparently noticed a little bug for firmware version 2.71. Good thing he's been able to release Devhook Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.63a right away. We're not really sure what bug he's fixed, exactly. Nothing was indicated on the changelog. But maybe one of the comment's posts from the previous article can help us: ? slightly confused ? says: "for some reason when I switch to 2.71 using this my x button doesn't seem to work???? can somebody help me out????" It might seem like a minor fix to you, but we're thinking that maybe Chunglam had done more tinkering in his homebrew and fixed other stuff. Now, even if you've already downloaded the 1.63 version, it'd still be a good idea to upgrade it to 1.63a. Whether you're on FW 2.71 or not, having the most recent homebrew is definitely no loss. Once again, we are stressing the importance of reading the .txt files in the zipped folder. There's a comprehensive FAQ and a history of changes that you can refer to, so please, if you're unsure of how to proceed, take a look at the resource files. Chunglam, in his letter, informed us of an update to his DevHook GUI Launcher Mod (TheBuzzer) inspired DevHook Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.63. If you're new to this application, we suggest that you check out the mini-FAQ text file first, for complete instructions on installation, reconfiguring emulated firmware and an easy to follow how to use guide. Since v1.62b, here are the latest additions to the application. Changelog:

Developer Chunglam has just released an update to his DevHook Launcher Mod, which is currently at v1.61a. Since there aren't too many launcher mods around, updates like these are truly a good thing to hear about, especially since modder TheBuzzer has also decided to lie low at the moment. For v1.61a, the creator of this mod has added the following things:

Chunglam revives TheBuzzer's Devhook GUI Launcher Mod with his recent release of his DevHook Launcher Mod v1.61. If you haven't heard of TheBuzzer, then you probably haven't given your DevHook a makeover yet. Together with 1337_pyro, he's deemed by many as having made the best DevHook mods around. Unfortunately, he has decided to call it quits with the mod and focus instead on other projects. Such being the case, it's a wonderful thing that other developers like Chunglam have continued releasing their own version inspired by TheBuzzer's mod. You could say he has continued on the legacy DevHook Launcher Mod. Changelog: v1.61

TheBuzzer has just released what may be the final version for his DevHook mod, GUI DEVHOOK Launcher v3.3, so check out the screenshot and download the file for your PSP. Skins for this mod was provided by 1337_pyro. Dubbed by users of previous versions as one of the nicest DevHook mods around, GUI DEVHOOK Launcher is easily customizable with lots of options available for those who wants to make their own skins. As TheBuzzer is considering making v3.3 the final version because of the low response he got for the previous releases, you might want to give out your appreciation if you happen to like this mod. Who knows, your comments just might change the developer's mind and we'll keep on seeing better and better versions of this app. Download: [GUI DEVHOOK Launcher v3.3 Final] Discuss: [Forum Release Thread] |
