NPD Group - Image 1Were October's NPD sales numbers indeed skewered due to lack of data from Toys "R" Us? NPD's vice president Martin Zargosek defends the integrity of NPD's October numbers, saying that the loss of numbers from toy retail chain Toys "R" Us is offset by the addition of new, relevant retail stores, such as Amazon. Toys Retail chain Toys "R" Us is currently running a deal that involves every single video game title on God's green earth. The promo is applicable both in the actual stores and the company's official online website. The promo began yesterday, October 14, and should end on October 20.

Here's how it goes: buy any two video game titles for any platform and you get another one of your choice for free. The only limitation is that the free game's price should be lower than the two that you purchased.

Even so, this is a good way of expanding your library of titles. We suggest you check your local Toys "R" Us as soon as possible because supplies are limited and fewer available titles will be around in the coming days.

Check our Read link below to go to the store's online website.

Promo!

Sure, it's not the manliest place to be if you're looking for some sort of gory shooter or that barely wholesome beach volleyball game, but it's hard to disagree with a good deal.

Toys "R" Us is offering a pretty nifty promo till October 28, where you can buy two games and get a third one free. It's not limited to any particular console, so you could buy something for your GBA, Xbox 360 and PS2 at the same time. You can make use of the promo by buying it online or going to the actual store, but you have to remember one thing about this deal: pre-orders don't count.

If you don't have the moolah to buy two games, you could always split the deal between you and two friends, making your "buy two, get one free" deal more of an all-purpose discount. You can't go wrong with 20 bucks off a Xbox 360 game, right? Just make sure the games you want to get are under their list of games under their promo, and you're good to go. Happy shopping gamers, and don't worry; we won't tell anyone about your hidden desire to become a Pokemon on your DS.
