Topmenu GeneratorYesterday uber0ne unleashed his Topmenu Generator on the PSP homebrew community. Topmenu Generator, in case you forgot already, generates topmenu_plugin with custom icons for the xmb. This app does not help with the flashing process of the topmenu_plugin and requires another application such as filer or Xflash.

Topmenu Generator also requires Microsoft Framework 2.0.

Topmenu Generator v1.1 has the following changelog:
  • Fixed some bugs
  • Added some file checks which should minimize crashing

Who hasn't gotten file corruptions on their PSPs? I know most of us have. So if you're just getting frustrated that you'd have to keep reformatting your memory stick, EASY Corruption Fixer is here to ease your burdens. So how easy is EASY Corruption Fixer? One, uber0ne deems it n00bs friendly. Two, the code was made in a record speed of 5 minutes. Three, installation is as easy as pie.

EASY COrruption FixerInstructions:
  • Connect your PSP
  • Open my application and select your PSP drive
  • Click fix corruption
  • Wait for it to repair then exit windows.
Fixing corruptions on game saves is still a big question mark as of the moment. Good candidate for a to do list for the next release, if you ask me. The application only works in Windows.

Homepage customizer

Uber0ne from our forums has released v1.0 of his PSP Homepage Customizer program for the PC. This program requires Windows to run, but can create a personalized homepage for your PSP web browser. To use this program, first enter the drive letter of your PSP using the drop down box. Then you enter the site title, followed by the URL. By Clicking "Add Link" the program will add the link to an index.htm. Then all you have to do is set your homepage to file:/home.html and you're all set with a customized homepage.

This application is small and nifty with an easy to use GUI. It isn't a masterpiece, neither is it a 2.7 downgrader; but It's a very useful application if you use your PSP web browser often and don't have basic HTML knowledge. Also, Uber0ne is continuing to develop this, hoping to add colored links (not just the plain blue), background color support and background picture support for the next release. Also, an Easter egg has been included in this version - see if you can find it!

Note: Microsoft .Net framework v2.0 must be installed in order to run this.

 eChanger

Uber0ne has just written us a letter regarding the final release of his project, eChanger. For those that aren't very familiar with it, it's specifically made as an extra perk for those who are using the GTA boot. It's a program that will allow you to change the eMenu easily and without having to restart GTA to view the changes.

He anticipates that there aren't very many who'll get a chance to use it since a lot of people have just downgraded, but as he said "I just wanted to release a final version of eChanger for eMenu, just because I dont like leaving work unfinished". Pretty noble huh? He sure is one guy dedicated to coding. Besides, this could be useful for those who have a TA-082 PSP, and those who chose not to downgrade (for whatever reason, you tell me).

What's new with this one? In his own words: "I included minor updates that arnt really noticable. The main part of this release is the windows app that automatically puts the files you select on your computer into the appropropriete place on the PSP." He also wishes to alert those who might be interested in using it that "this only supports up to 10 screens and ONLY WORKS WITH EMENU NOT ELOADER" For people who wishes to have a look at this app's source code, perhaps to tinker with it a bit, just email Uber0ne (his addy is inside the Readme) and he'll send it to you.

He closed his message saying "thanks guys keep it classy QJ and Community". We will Uber0ne, and it's all for equally classy guys like you.
