A few new screens for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 have arrived on our desk today, showing more of the same (golf) ball-whacking gameplay that golf fans can expect to arrive on their Sony handhelds this October. As we've said before, 07 promises more action on the fairway, more competitive rivalries in the clubhouse, more minigames to play while on the bus - and less loading time.

The game features the most lifelike Tiger yet, thanks to Universal Capture (UCAP) face-scanning and motion-capture tech. Throw in fourteen more of the world's top golfers, some of the Tour's famous courses, and multiplayer tournaments... You may never have to watch the game on TV again, 'cause you'll be too busy whacking your own (golf) balls instead.

Universal Capture or UCAP is EA's latest facial imaging technology that combines head scanning, motion capture, and video capture to create life-like characters you see in video games. This, according to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 producer Steve Arnold, is how they transformed Tiger Woods from flesh-and-blood to pure pixels. And from the looks of it, Tiger worked a lot harder at this than on actual golf tournaments! Anyways, it's a great video to watch. Even if you're no golf fan, you may want to see how its done. You never know when you might become a video game character yourself.
