With the midweek PlayStation Store update brought about by the Electronic Entertainment Expo, this week's regular Store update isn't as big as the others. Doesn't matter though, this new batch has game demos like the one for Fight Night Round 4 (Xbox 360 and PS3), plus new downloadable game releases. No Guitar Hero here this time, but there are some for Rock Band: Unplugged. Update list coming right up.

Although info didn't come from the Activision presswire, IGN has confirmed that the wise-cracking merc will be part of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (DS, Wii, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360). I'm guessing that it would be Deadpool's strong performance and sheer coolness in the first Ultimate Alliance that brought him back. Let's just face it, he's way too cool.

Have you guys seen "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"? I haven't but I hear they totally butchered Deadpool's character in the movie. Be that as it may, Raven Software, the development studio behind the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game, has expressed interest in making a Deadpool game.

Homebrew developer bWWd has released an awesome looking sidescrolling beat 'em up game set in the Marvel Universe. Well, set in a barren abandoned town infested with Aliens somewhere in the Marvel Universe. Details after the link.

Hugh Jackman stars in this X-men Origins: Wolverine trailer. We see the fierce claw-thrashing loner of the X-men, how he got those sick blades on his hands, and, of course, how they're used. Trailer's inside.

Snikt! Unleash those adamantium claws, bub. We're watching the first ever trailer for the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine game. It's in pure CG animation and looks almost exactly like what you see in the trailers for the movie. Man, the only thing lacking here in this trailer is Deadpool. (Well, yeah, him and a whole bunch of gameplay footage too.)

Wolverine's one of the deadliest fighters ever to be dreamed up by Marvel, and his new video game sounds like its going to live up to his reputation. He has influences in God of War, Devil May Cry, and... Super Smash Bros. Well, why not? Kirby kicks butt too, you know.
