X5 Anniversary Edition

For those who've gotten used to the Mac interface on just about everything, KaotiK DesignZ has come up with a new version of the beloved X5. For those who haven't heard of it, the X5 site calls it the world's "best, easiest, and only perfect sourced Mac OS X styled portal for use on your Sony PSP™." Their previous version had a lot of features, which are definitely going to be in this new version, but they've highlighted the general features of X5 Anniversary Edition for potential users:
  • "Aqua" and "Dark Aqua" look.
  • Contains 10 applications including "Address Book", and "System Preferences".
  • Custom user desktop pictures.
  • Exclusive online media downloads.
  • Over 65 links ranging from "Email", to "Travel".
  • Standard 12 hour digital clock.
  • Sony PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable) exclusive.
  • Zero error source code.

Like it or not, you have to admit that it looks cool on a PSP, at the very least. Here are screenies courtesy of Kaotik DesignZ.

X5

KaotiK DesignZ and PSP3D have announced the release of a Developer version of the popular X5 PSP web browser portal. Since modability was requested by many for the next version, Kaotik DesignZ have added an all-new section in X5 especially for any applications you have made and want to include in the next version of the X5 browser portal.

Any decent games/applications/mods will be included in the next release, but the team behind X5 have stated that no alterations to the core X5 source code or official documentation are allowed. Please make sure that you read all the way through the documentation before you start developing your own part of X5. You can download this developer version below or through using the "Software Update" function included in X5 version 2.00.
