Hajimme no Ippo Portable Victorious Spirits for PSP - Image 1One of the hottest anime/manga franchises that continue to stand the test of time is Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit outside Japan), and it's up for another round. Famitsu's latest issue just revealed that Hajime no Ippo: Portable Victorious Spirits is coming to Sony PlayStation Portable.

Much like Hajime no Ippo's other iterations as a video game, Portable Victorious Spirits is packing a punch with over 40 characters making an appearance. By looking at the scan, we can safely assume that Ippo Makunouchi, Miyata Ichiro, Mamoru Takamaru, and the "Magician" Malcolm Gedo are in the roster. The story will progress through illustrations from the manga, which should make for an authentic experience for fans.

Hajime no Ippo: Portable Victorious Spirits is slated for a winter release later this year. Unfortunately, there is no word of the game reaching the west. Here's to hoping XSEED Games picks this up like they did with Victorious Boxers: Revolution for the Wii.

One of the pages from Global A's website of Chronicle of Dungeon Maker II - Image 1What RPG wouldn't include a standard dungeon crawler where the hero stumbles blindly from room to room killing endless number of monsters and other baddies? Global A's Chronicle of Dungeon Maker 2 extends this premise by giving you a PSP game that not only gives you a decent cave crawling adventure, but also gives you the chance to design your own dungeon for monsters to live in.

Global A has opened a Japanese website for the game already. And while American PSP owners may have trouble understanding the text there, you can at least take a peek at the visuals on how the sequel is going to come out. So far it seems like it plans to out do its predecessor with more building materials, more monsters, and more magic to play around with.

Chronicle of Dungeon Maker 2 is slated to come out this December 6 exclusively for the PSP. Drop in from time to time to see any updates we have with the game.

XSEED Games' Dungeon Maker 2 already in the works - Image 1Older gamers may remember an old school dungeon-making strategy sim called Dungeon Keeper. The developers of the said title definitely knew what they were doing when it gave gamers a flip-side view of what it's like defending your dungeon against those pesky heroes trying to steal your treasure.

XSEED Games' Dungeon Maker, as you all know, tries to expound on this genre by making its version for the handheld PSP. While Dungeon Maker: Hunting Grounds received a lukewarm welcome in the States, developers from Japan are already winding themselves up for a sequel to the series for the PSP-exclusive RPG dungeon crawler.

Building from the formula of its predecessor, XSEED Games' Dungeon Maker 2 promises itself to be bigger and better with up to 90 building materials (from 50 in the original), plus more magic spells, and items to build your dream dungeon.

From the scan, it definitely seems like a much bigger game than before with new models and characters to choose from and definitely more baddies to vanquish. No official word has been given on when the sequel will be out, but we'll keep everyone posted on this.
