The homebrewed version of Link's Adventures, The Legend of Zelda Adventures (previous version here), is now on Alpha 4 version. The developer, dan369, says that the game is actually out of Alpha, however, so we can call it Legend of Zelda Portable Adventures Beta. What are the new features included in this release? Developer dan369 passed by the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce that work's going smoothly on the Alpha 4 release of the Legend of Zelda homebrew game. The dev also dropped off a video as part of the progress report, viewable over in the full article.

Famitsu, one of Japan's premier video game publications, has released its list of top 25 games for 2007. Interestingly enough, almost half of the games in the list belong to the Xbox 360 platform, which has been trailing behind in Japan's hardware sales. Over on the QJ.Net forums, dan369 has released a new homebrew project, called Legend of Zelda alpha 1. As you can probably guess, it's a work-in-progress game featuring Link and Zelda, and runs on its own engine based on Zion's Zelda game. More on this after the jump!

Gamers who are looking to attend the upcoming Games Convention 2008 can expect a treat as the Video Games Live Symphony Orchestra will be performing a concert to kick off the start of the event. Super Mario Toy is back, this time with three classic mini games with a Mario twist to them. You can now play Mario as Pacman, Mario in a Galaga-type air fight (spitting out fireballs in place of bullets), and Mario shooting down koopas in a Duck Hunt game. Graphics aren't the only notable differences between the PlayStation Portable and the Nintendo DS version of Hudson Entertainment's Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts.
