PSP homebrew - Image 1Ever wonder what it'd be like to play Pong while loaded with narcotics? Here's the closest you can come to that while staying absolutely clean - Gnarly Pong. Either the distracting background serves as a challenge or developer a_noob simply thinks it's err..gnarly. Doesn't matter though, it's pong with a new twist.

Cube Runners - Image 1Here's something to help you pass some idle time in the bus or on the train. Taking a page from the iPhone version of this game, Cube Runner from a_noob (of Gnarly Pong fame) is a no-frills-no-fuss demo. Fun in its simplicity, but already I can see the potential here. Vroooom!

Gnarly Pong - Image 1Oh, no, it's not just any kind of Pong. It's Gnarly Pong. And how different is it from the bajillion homebrew Pong clones we've seen out there? Well, for one, Gnarly Pong isn't much a game as it is actually more of a demo. It's a Pong application that generates some psychadellic colors to trip out on.

VSHPong Gamma - Image 1

Homebrew developer a_noob promised that he will be coming up with a lot of arcade classics for our dear PlayStation Portable (PSP). Before that though, he decided to give VSHPong an update. We guess this homebrew game doesn't need explanation, but for the benefit of those who don't know, VSHPong is a prx that lets users play Pong in the XMB.

What does that mean? Well, say you're watching Advent Children: Final Fantasy VII on your PSP and you suddenly got bored, you can instantly fire off VSHPong from there. This prx allows you to play it anywhere in the XMB, literally. Even inside another game should you decide to run it as a game prx.

To turn this homebrew application on, all you have to do is press the start button and the left trigger. Turning VSHPong off is done in the same manner. To control your paddle, just push the analog up and down while pushing the the start button and the right trigger will toggle between you and artificial intelligence playing.

Lastly, VSHPong is currently in Gamma version and the improvements implemented include the On and Off feature as well as a better AI versus AI.
