PSP homebrew developer LogiKz dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce the release of an application built specifically to run with Cheat Master 0.6c. The app in question is an Easy Installer program, and should make the process of uploading aeolusc's game memory editor/cheat tool prx mod easier for the newer PSP owners out there. Before you get cracking, make sure to do the following:

If you head over to PSPChina, you'll find a post for eBook reader: eReader v1.59. We have written about eReader v1.4, and that's a good place to start if you want to know how to use this program and navigate through it. Basically, the eReader by Aeolusc is an eBook reader program for your PSP. It lets you read simple text files, but more importantly, it lets you read HTML files, display images, and play MP3s. You can also download fonts in different sizes so you can choose one that's easy to read.
We'll update this as soon as we get more info. Meanwhile, if anybody out there knows more about it, then you can help out the rest of the non-Chinese-reading PSP community by telling us more about it. Also, we'd like to welcome the PSP newbies who got PSPs for Christmas: Check out the FAQs, Guides, and Tutorials at our forums. You might look at Guides: General PSP for general PSP stuff (like figuring out the version of "firmware" you have in your PSP), and then you can jump into homebrew by reading the threads in the Guides: Hacks, Homebrew and Emulators forum. Recommended reading includes the ULTIMATE Homebrew Guide and the The Ultimate QJ Guide. Update: Tom sent in a very helpful translation of the original eReader post and of the readme. He provided info on what the newest features of eReader v1.59 Xmas Version (Ebook and Image Viewer) are, including info on the controls. There's also a very long and extremely important tutorial in this translation. So for those who want to use this updated app ASAP, click on Full Article. |

Seems like Thanksgiving isn't over yet. For the "game sharks" out there in PSPlandia, take out the left-over turkey and celebrate some more. While earlier this morning we had given you CheatMaster with Sketch.">Aeolusc's CheatMaster v0.6c, now weltall comes up with a new version of CWCheat. CWCheat 0.1.6 REV.B completes the work started in the REV.A version and updates the UMF installer. The brightness can now be adjusted in five levels and the screenshot function can be used in two modes. Of this function, weltall comments that the only games affected by bugs with the fast version of the screenshot feature are both GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA: Vice City Stories. Fear not, though. He adds that, "if you don't use them you can disable the compatibility mode and have a faster screenshot experience." Here's the complete changelog: 0.1.6 REV. B for 2.71SE

If you've been a gamer as far back as you can remember, then maybe you're familiar with one of the first cheating/hacking tools that ever came for the gaming consoles. What are we talking about here? GameShark. There's been a whole slew of other tools that followed in its wake, and now for the handheld, two of the well-known cheat devices are CheatMaster and CWCheat. Regardless of whichever you prefer, Aeolusc has just released CheatMaster 0.6b. Of course, the core feature is still here: being able to see the game's memory and edit whatever code you want to suit your cheating needs. But of course, an update has more to it than that. Check out the changelog:

Since its first release on September 12, many users have been fond of using the CheatMaster. While a somewhat similar homebrew exists - CWCheat - not a few still prefer the former as it allows them to create their own codes. It does so by letting users see games' memory and tinker with any part of the game through simple searching.
After the Alpha release three weeks ago, coder Aeolusc is at it again now upgrading CheatMaster for Devhook and even including the source code. The following changes and modifications were applied to CheatMaster v0.6:

Back in September, Sketch and CheatMaster with Sketch.">aeolusc teamed up to enhance the cheat device for the PSP called CheatMaster. Not to be confused with CWCheat, CheatMaster is a "prx mod written for Devhook 0.4+, which is used to view/search, modify/lock data in memory while playing game". This means that the memory editor acts similarly to PC programs like Artmoney or Tsearch, or if you're more into console gaming, the GameShark Pro. It allows users to "view" the games memory and then edit essentially any part of a game through searching. You can find any code just by using search functions such as "Greater", "Less", "Equal", "Not Equal". Now that we've gotten the introduction out of the way, it's time to check out the newest version of the game hacking tool - CheatMaster 0.6 Alpha. The following changes are reflected in version 0.6:

Sketch has emailed us (thanks!) about the latest version of CheatMaster. He and Aeolusc have teamed up to improve this cheat device for the PSP. Cheat Master is "a prx mod written for DevHook 0.4+, which is used to view/search and modify/lock data in memory while playing game". It is different from CWCheat, which is more focused on "code usage"; CheatMaster is best for "code creation" as it allows players to use "user made" codes, just like in "Gameshark" or "Codebreaker". As Sketch wrote, some of the important features of CheatMaster v0.5b includes: • Memory Editor/Viewer This allows you to access and modify the memory of any game, allowing for "advanced" codes to be made. • Fuzzy Search This allows you to search for an "unknown" value in game. ie: Health Bars, Car Speed etc. • Known Value Search Allows to direct number searching. ie: ammo, money etc. To install the CheatMaster v0.5 b in your beloved PSP, run accessory tool CMA.exe, select target for installation, then click the Install button. Start game, press [Volume UP] + [Volume DOWN] button to call up the menu. Note: Sketch said that if you wan to dump memory or use fuzzy search, make sure there are at least 24Mb free space on your MemoryStick (48Mb is recommended for fuzzy search). Aeolusc from PSPChina has made another update on his eReader for the PSP. The name of the application is already a give away. It is an eBook reader program for your PSP. It offers support for reading simple text files, as well as HTML files. It also has the ability to display images and play MP3s. So while you're reading, you can enjoy your favorite tunes as well. If you're worried that it's written in Chinese, Kyle M. swears that it is rather easy to navigate. Just remember to use the circle button to make a selection instead of the X button. It can display English text files perfectly by the way. You can also download additional fonts in varying sizes so you can choose which one is the most suitable for you. The translation is rather crude but here's what it says - More than 16 dot matrix fonts not included in the above download compressed packets, a separate provision requires people to download codecs, the two documents added fonts.zip and then menu option will be more than the corresponding size of the font choice. This is the latest version of the eBook reader for the PSP developed by Aeolusc, the eReader v1.10. The eReader program has support for HTML files and reading normal text files. This is very helpful when reading ebooks as one can preserve lines when flipping pages, switch to vertical mode for longer pages and bookmark certain pages of the ebook. This program will also allow the PSP to be a picture viewer as it supports TGA, BMP, PNG, GIF and JPG formats. MP3 playback is also supported in this. Modifications made from the last version (v1.09) include:
