In a week filled with industry news, we ended up with a rather sparse recap of the big PSP-specific news that graced the QJ.NET PSP blog. The PSP Go -- or rather, retailers who are feeling a bit miffed by Sony's decision to go download-only for the Go -- was there to pick up the slack. Game-wise, we got a couple more updates as Capcom gears up for this week's Monster Hunter Freedom Unite release as well as more import news and some pre-order goodies for Dissidia, as if fans didn't have enough reason to buy it. Just like Chaos and Cosmos fighting over control of the balance, Amazon and GameStop will be fighting over control of the Dissidia: Final Fantasy sales. If Cosmos called upon the Final Fantasy heroes to meet their Chaos nemeses, the two retailers will also have aces up their respective sleeves to turn the tide over to their side. This year's E3 was truly one for the books. After the busy week we had last week, we here at QJ.NET decided to do a little digging to look for 25 excellent games under US$ 25 that were released last year in honor of this year's E3. If you just recently acquired your 7th gen console or handheld or if you're just looking for a great game to add in your collection, maybe you can take a look at these games.

Last month, there was an Amazon deal for a PSP Slim. Getting one from them allows you to get one free game - it was either Retribution or MLB. Now, they're trying to drive sales for the PSP-3000 by offering a similar deal. The mechanics are the same, the choices, a bit different. This time around, the deal (active until May 16) is only in effect if you buy a PSP-3000 Piano Black Core Pack. Buying one lets you choose a free game from a melting pot of three Greatest Hits: either Kratos, golf, or blobs.

With the beat of the sacred Patapon drums, nothing makes Almighty more happy than to see his beloved subjects destroy everything in a fevered wrath. Anyone who's ever played has felt the delight of sending your boys into Fever and watching them thrash the crap out of everything that moves. The same still goes for Patapon 2, but now with more warriors at your disposal. Check 'em out.

I'm not sure if you guys heard about it yet, but Amazon's got a deal for the PSP right now. There's a huge chance that it's over by the time you read this and hop on over there quick enough, you could buy a Piano Black PSP Slim (Core Pack), and choose one free game: either Resistance: Retribution or MLB '09.

If you've got just enough cash to splurge on games this week, then you might as well whisk yourself off to Amazon.com for their Amazon Gold Box deals. The whole day of April 13th, Monday, is dedicated to Gold Boxes for videogames of all kinds!

The online retailer has just opened up a new gimmick, selling online game codes for the Xbox Live. You might be going, "Huh? Why bother?" But on closer inspection, this might not be a bad idea after all. Details after the link.

On top of the English debut trailer for Dissidia: Final Fantasy, this bit is yet another stepping stone launching us oh-so-closer to the game's eventual release across North America and Europe. The English website for the game was finally been opened a few days ago. And through the websites, we learn that pre-orders (and subsequently, release dates!) are now made known.
