On Shelves This Week - Image 1A lot of games are coming out this week. A veritable rainbow of releases, if you will. If we scale it, the red part (ROY G BIV, remember?) would include big titles like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for PSP, Borderlands, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 and FIFA Soccer 10. On the violet side (more like bruise purple, really) we have the Charm Girls Club games and another Imagine [Insert Occupation Here] release. Hit the jump and let's get this ball rolling.

Astro Boy: The Video Game - Image 1So a new Astro Boy video game is in the works for the Wii, DS, PSP and PS2, as announced a couple of months back. However, the unfortunate news is that the PSP version of Astro Boy: The Video Game will be the only one released in Japan.

Astro Boy - Image 1Announced last year, Astro Boy: The Video Game finally finds its home across four confirmed platforms: the Wii, DS, PS2, and PSP. It looks to be a 3D platformer where you can fly around (think Iron Man). Combat allows you to use a bunch of Astro Boy's arsenal - and when I say arsenal, that includes the machine guns that come out of his arse. More info and the movie trailer in the full article.

AstroBoy - Image 1Following their announcement to bring Neil Gaiman and Henry Selick's Coraline movie to video game consoles, D3Publisher has now also confirmed that they've bagged the rights to release a video game tie-in for Imagi Studios' 2009 feature length animation, Astro Boy.
