PSP homebrew - Image 1French coders BlackDevsTeam (composed of Darkside, Zer01ne, and Spimort) have released an alpha version for their 0x584d42 project. Whether you want to call this a PSP shell or an XMB replacement, then so be it. For the record though, the BlackDevsTeam calls it an XMB alternative, much like Auraomega's Project4.

Project4 Open Beta 2 by Auraomega - Image 1 Had problems with installing the latest beta release of Auraomega's Project4? Well, the PlayStation Portable homebrew developer sent us word on the possible solution: Some people may not have read the readme file. The dev has good reason (bricking) to make his app a bit unfriendly to those who didn't give the readme a once over. For Auraomega's entire statement, click the link below.

The front and back of the Sony PSP - Image 1The Principle of One states that any project can be completed in time if it's broken down into smaller, more manageable pieces. Homebrew developer Auraomega, it seems, has been doing precisely that: various updates have been coming in regarding the Project4 XMB application for Sony's portable console.

It's just as well, considering that the developer's ETA for the Project 4 Open Beta 2 is practically upon us. More details on what's new in Project4 after the jump!
