While professionalism has it that I reserve bashing the crap out of things, Erik Estavillo is really asking for it. Let's face it, the guy is on a suing spree from hell. Estavillo, more commonly known as "the banned Resistance player that sued Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo", is now turning his eyes to Blizzard, which is responsible for the evil moneymaker, World of Warcraft. To help make his case, he turns to Depeche Mode's Martin Lee Gore and Winona Ryder - you'll know how that "makes sense" in just a bit.

It's that time of the week again. Media Create has released the software sales results in Japan for the week of October 5th through October 11th. Keeping the top spot is still Pokemon HeartGold/ SoulSilver for the DS.

So earlier we reported about the threat  issued by Activision Blizzard Boss Bobby Kotick to Sony about the possible pullout of his company to publish games on the PS3 and the PSP if Sony does not cut the price of the PS3 and reduced its licensing fees. An SCEE representative then gave a short response about the matter but refused to comment any further. Well here comes Playstation spokesman Patrick Seybold to the rescue.

Activision Blizzard President and CEO Bobby Kotick said in a statement earlier that he plans to abandon Sony's PS3 and PSP platforms unless Sony drops the PS3's price and reduced its licensing fees. Sony's reaction: we're not reacting on that one.

Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith has revealed that they have now set their sights on breaking into the action genre with a brand new IP. Details about the IP are still scarce, but Griffith did share with Develop why Activision, which has become decidedly restrictive when it comes to new IP, made the decision. I bet you guys can guess why.

No kidding, they sure made up for that drought the past how many weeks. And no, we don't mean just random Dream Series titles for the DS. We're talking real games here! Okay, wanna bet? Try Class of Heroes for the PSP, or the multiplatformer Prototype. You want lots of music? Take your pick from among Guitar Hero on Tour: Modern Hits, Rock Band: Unplugged and Classic Track Pack. We've got an exceptionally news-filled week for issue #65 of the QuickJump QuickPeek, thanks in part (a whole lot) to the recently-concluded GDC that happened in San Francisco. There were a lot of announcements and revelations, both inspiring and jaw-dropping alike. Yep, it's looking like it's gonna be yet another good year for gaming.

E3 is back and bigger than ever! ... is what I want to say. But you get the next best thing. E3 is back and it's bigger than last year! Restrictions on attendance will be lessened this year, and Activision Blizzard, the company that started the studio exodus from the ESA, is back.

After hearing the story of the Swede teen collapsing after 24 hours of playing Wrath of the Lich King, this news comes to no surprise for me. World of Warcraft's second expansion pack has sliced its way to second place in the UK charts, topped only by fellow newcomer, Call of Duty: World at War. In other news, LittleBigPlanet shot down form fourth place to 19th place. Ouch.
