If this turns out to be legit, it's fun times out there for Sony gamers. A leaked Power Point Presentation has revealed upcoming accessories for both the PSP and the PlayStation 3. The list is pretty sweet, including a Skype Headset Kit and GPS tracker for the PSP, and a Bluetooth Headset for the PS3. Read about the (still unconfirmed) official Sony accessories in the full article. |

N3M3515 came up with an interesting PSP mod that enables users to use wireless voice chat on games like the SOCOM FTB franchise. The setup will also work on the PS2 and, interestingly enough, the PS3. Details are available in the full article. |

After acquiring competitor Maxtor, Seagate promoted a new portable media storage device known as DAVE. Now this nifty device had so much potential for multiple devices capable of WiFi and Bluetooth that Sony's PlayStation 3 and PSP were worthy candidates. But when asked about the possibility of Sony versions of the product, Seagate gave the most peculiar reply. That and more at the full story. |

If you're not satisfied with the wireless capabilities of your PSP, then you might be interested to know that some of the developers from AcidMods are working on a project called the Internal Bluetooth Mod for Sony's PSP handheld.
In a video uploaded by the developers, they take viewers through a quick presentation of the Bluetooth capable PSP in action. Using a pair of modified headphones and a special Bluetooth transmitter attached to the PSP, the AcidMods team was able to feature the streaming capabilities of their little project. So far they've only been able to stream music using their customized Bluetooth transmitter. Who knows? Maybe someday they may be able to stream other media like videos or even other homebrew apps through this project. For those of you who are interested at taking a look at the technical details of how they were able to piece together this particular set up, the team from the AcidMods forums have posted a step-by-step tutorial on how they were able to do it. You can check it out through the read link below. |

The PlayStation Portable community was literally rocked when gaming site Kotaku unloaded tons of details for the much-rumored redesigned handheld console. However, the said report met skepticisms from the gaming community particularly the info on the 8GB worth of internal flash memory and alleged shift to LED screen.Website Rumor Reporter, furthermore, categorically stated today that the said story is indeed misleading and (we quote) is "mainly factually inaccurate." Quite interestingly, the said site maintained that it has more credible sources and is now divulging what they call as the "real" details of the PSP Slim. Here's the list:
Until that time comes, we're all free to speculate right? |

Japanese electronics company Logitec said in a press release today concerning its soon-to-be released Bluetooth headphones for Sony's handheld, the PlayStation Portable (PSP). We really can't read Japanese, but numbers know no boundaries. If we're not mistaken, the new peripheral will debut at around 12,800 yen (US$ 110). By the way, Logitec is not related to better-known peripheral maker Logitech. Logitec is a Japanese company and an established brand name in Japan since 1974. Logitech, on the other hand, is headquartered in Switzerland and was established in 1981. Trivia: Logitech calls itself "Logicool" in Japan (because Logitec is already there) and "Logi (UK) Ltd." in the UK (because there's a company called Logitech in Scotland that makes polishing equipment). Anyway, the new Bluetooth PSP headphones from Logitec are scheduled for a Japanese release as of now, but we certainly hope to see them soon in other territories. In case you are interested, we listed some of the features and specifications: Logitec Bluetooth headphones' features and specifications:

Another rumor goes the path of the Aurora bomber, Crysis 360, and the cure for baldness. If you guys are having too much fun ogling over the PSP2 concept art made by Emre Husmen, look away - as Sony says there is nothing of the sort cooking up.Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has just announced that "There is no PSP2." in the works, and that rumors circulating about a PSP successor are just that - rumors. Among other features that the PSP2 would carry was an obscenely large 60GB HDD, a built-in camera function, Bluetooth capabilities, and a cell phone. Of course, there are far more features circulating out there, which carry over our best hopes for the portable. For now, we resume the daily homebrew grind with the console that's already here. |
