Final Armada box-art - Image 1

Our previous report about Virgin's Final Armada for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation Portable included a fact-sheet and a short overview about what the game is about. Well, if the Virgin PLAY published game caught your interest then the screens below and the box art above should be a feast for your eyes.

Screens of weird hover-mechs and ever-so-glow-y weapon's fire follows:

North American gamers have long been complaining that the box art for stateside releases of Japanese games haven't been up to par with the originals. Well, it seems like that trend's starting to come to an end, because the box art for the North American versions of Square Enix's Final Fantasy I & II 20th Anniversary Edition are both looking pretty darn snazzy.

Yeah, it might be ports of a couple of games that were released before some of our readers were yet to be conceived, but both 20th Anniversary Editions of Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II have been heating up the pre-order charts in Japan. Both games feature enhanced graphics and new dungeons, but apart from that, details on other enhancements are still scarce.

Twice the horror, we believe. - Image 1

Rockstar Games just announced its plans for Manhunt 2 several days ago, and now we've already received the box art for the upcoming game. A sequel to Rockstar Games' highly-controversial slasher flick, Manhunt 2 promises to deliver the expectations of horror fans who have grown to love the original game once it's finally released on the Wii and the PSP this summer.

Many are guessing that this title may just be as controversial its predecessor (though we are, of course, hoping that no one gets hurt this time around...), but a recent statement from Rockstar clarifies this shouldn't be the case anymore, so long as rules are followed, and ratings are respected. According to them, the game is truly intended for a mature audience, plus it has been duly submitted to the necessary classification boards so that it may be properly rated.

Remember Bubble Bobble? That kid in a dinosaur suit with a bubble gun? Yep. Remember how crazy and addicting it got? Well after the DS version, we're going to be treated to a PSP one. Welcome Bubble Bobble Evolution.

This time, there will be new realms, innovations, new bubble types to new environmental hazards and puzzle elements. The Story Mode tells how the two bros were trapped into dinosaur suits. Ah, is this like a prequel game then? One way to know is to play the game.

It's been out in Japan since July 13, but the American and European release date will be on September 26 and 29 of this year. So while we anticipate the arrival of the Dino-brothers to our shores, we'll be showing you a load of screenshots and a box art for Europe.

See the screenshots and box art after the jump!

GTA Vice City StoriesRockstar Leeds have just released the box art for their second PSP GTA title Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Now usually a bit of box art wouldn't be that interesting, but Vice City Stories is the PSP sequel to the best selling PSP title in the world, GTA: Liberty City Stories. One thing I picked up straight away is the helicopter on the box art that could be hinting at the ability to fly helicopters in this, GTA's second outing on the PSP. After all, Vice City was the first GTA title to have flyable helicopters in, and we all know how Rockstar love a bit of irony.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories will be available exclusively for the PSP in North America on October 17th, 2006 and Europe on October 20th, 2006 for a recommended price of $49.99. In this title we can expect the best of the best in free roaming gameplay and if it's anything like its older brother, Vice City for the PS2, the storyline and missions will blow your heads socks off. The glorious Vice City in mobile format will grace your hands in just a few months time - if you can wait that long. Our advice on this title? Pre-order it whilst you can. Ó

Our Korean friends are in for a PSP treat as the Tekken: Dark Resurrection PSP Gigapack hits Korea. Though I'm not much of a Tekken fan, I'd have to admit that the boxart for the Gigapack is really drool-inducing. Sometimes, nice boxart like this one can really make you lose your sensibility (e.g. buying because of the boxart). But, hey, you might be surprised at the number of people who buy stuff just because it looks nice.

The Tekken PSP Gigapack is available to for 358,000 Won, which translates to $376. At that price, it's easy to pass up on the Gigapack, especially if you only want the box. Well, you can always get your Tekken fix when Tekken: Dark Resurrection ships on July 25.
