menu1buying cards

Some months back, Sakya made a homebrew version of one of the games featured in PlayStation's Final Fantasy VIII, "Triple Triad". After v0.1.1 though, the game fizzled out and up to now, no new version has come out. Well if you enjoyed that game, you might be interested in what JBird has for us today, his own Triple Triad 'brew for the PSP.

Also based on the card game from Final Fantasy VIII, Alpha Triple Triad v0.02 is still a work in progress but according to the people who's already tried it, it promises to be one awesome game. Right now, the core menu and the buying of cards for your deck is present and to place card on board, you press "Square".

Other features now included in this release:
  • Dual color menu (Black or White)
  • Music
  • Multiple Unlockable Card Backs (viewable in this Demo only)
  • Multiple Unlockable Game Boards
  • Two Save Files
  • Continue a game in play
There are a few known bugs with this current demo. Currently, cards will be unusable from NEW GAME and CONTINUE when you've already chosen them and then decided to back out. Since JBird is still working out the rules, gameplay is still in disarray - if anybody is willing to help him out, he'd love to hear from you. Future releases will also see 30 more cards available to play with; right now, JBird wasn't able to include them due to memory restrictions.

You can now have a go at Alpha Triple Triad v0.02. Let JBird know of any suggestions you might have by leaving a comment below. Enjoy!
