Well, that was quick. Pox and Ragable usually do CommuteCasts every few weeks, but it's only been a couple of days. Maybe the brave souls of PSP Hacking 101 have something else on their minds now.Continuing the nuttiness that was CommuteCast Episode 15, the pair talked about a lot of things, including the very expensive piece of keyboard goodness known as the Optimus OLED Keyboard. Not that any of us could afford a US$ 1,200 piece typing mechanism though, but man, if that wasn't an FPS lover's dream. The CommuteCast focused mostly on unit comparisons between the PS3 and Wii in relation to their launch. They also talked about what each company would need to do to be at the top of the console wars, especially in relation to the money sink that Sony's PS3 console seems to be at the moment. Better still, they shared our own laughter at the number of PS3s that weren't used for PS3-related purposes, especially the PS3s that were either smashed, disassembled, or turned into working George Foreman Grill clones. In any case, here's another 26 minutes of Pox and Ragable in PSP Hacking 101's CommuteCast: Episode 16. Enjoy! Download: [PSP Hacking 101's CommuteCast: Episode 16] |

You might think that the sound quality of Pox and Ragable's CommuteCasts might be a turn-off, but we actually kind of like it, and sticking their shows onto your iPod and playing them in the car makes you think you've got some well-informed backseat drivers. In episode 15 of the PSP Hacking 101 CommuteCast, they talk about all the waiting they've been doing for Sony and Nintendo's new consoles. That includes the actual time spent in lines and the cold nights in Colorado, as well as the attempts to make some extra cash through eBay sales. Speaking of eBay, they also discuss the launch numbers for the consoles, including some rough estimates on how many were sold online, and speculations on the kind of people who'd be willing to pay big money for auctioned consoles. Near the end of their CommuteCast, the dynamic duo also get to discuss the issues that people are having with their PS3 units. Most notable of these is the problem with PS3 game resolutions and the downscaling that occurs on certain TVs. The latter part of their CommuteCast serves as a rough overview of the kind of picture quality people will eventually get from their games depending on their monitors, unless Sony fixes it soon. In any case, why talk about it when you can simply hear it straight from them, right? Enjoy the download. Download: [PSP Hacking 101 CommuteCast: Episode 15] |

Pox and Ragable are back in the scene once more as they recently unleashed another killer CommuteCast. Yup, time flew by so quickly and who would have thought that we'd be listening to the 14th episode of PSP Hacking 101's CommuteCast. Being the good guys that they are, they started the episode with a reminder for everyone eligible to vote in the just concluded midterm elections. But back to the gaming side of the episode, the almost 50-minute CommuteCast discussed topics that ranges from alarming caffeine intakes to the Gears of War release. Here are the topics that was discussed by the dynamic duo of Pox and Ragable in this recent CommuteCast:

If you remember, DHL took a beating on CommuteCast Episode 6. Dubbed as Journey of the ModChip, Pox and Ragable recounted their not-so-good experience with DHL and their delivery guys as THE modchip was delivered to a person from a different street. After not making it to their doorstep the first time, can you just imagine how they felt? There were a lot of DHL bashing going on in that episode. The one that stood out was a comment that they shouldn't be trusted in delivering your organs. Classic. Now, DHL is out for revenge and they are letting the boys know. As Pox commented on this video: Don't bad talk the guys in big yellow trucks. All that and more if you download CommuteCast Episode 8. Our favorite road-tripping guys, Pox and Ragable, are back with their promised update on the modchip (that almost didn't make it) mentioned on their last podcast, along with a very interesting discussion on the new Devhook 2.6 emulation, all while enjoying a good cruise on the open road. I for one is looking forward to whether the modchip installation was successful or not. This 21-minute audio recording was brought to our attention by Alan Garcia, also known as CBMaster/pox_fan. He says that he and dleet were given a special mention on this CommuteCast, so look out for that as well. You can download the file, by clicking on the link just below the article, but you also have the option of getting it on feed. Pox and Ragable are back with another conversation about the things that matter in life - Modchips. In this 10-minute audio file, they give us a detailed story on how this coveted modchip landed on their doorstep. I can assure you, if you've ever had a packaged lost because the delivery guy said you weren't home when he got there (in Ragable's case, hedges) and opted to give it to your neighbor instead (in Ragable's case somebody living on a different street), then this episode is for you. Apparently, their first try on getting a hold of this modchip was a failure. So can you just imagine their panic, when an overnight package didn't arrive on time. So do not trust DHL in delivering your organs. DHL is evil. There were also jabs on "is it a downgrader or a downdater?", as well as the 1.5 to 1.0 downdater. Interesting, yes. But why? Shrug. Thanks Chuck for the heads up! Download: [CommuteCast Episode 6] |

Pox and Ragable are back with another mind stimulating conversation from inside their car. In the previous episode of their mp3 feed, CommuteCast, they talked about a lot of things that go far and beyond the scopes of the PSP, like the Nintendo DS, XBox 360 and HD-DVD.This time, in this 20-minute mp3, Pox and Ragable talk about very controversial and touchy topics such as the 2.50/2.60 Kernel Access and Downgrader Test for 2.50/2.60, which resulted in a lot of bricked PSPs. They also touched on topics like P2P insurance, the price of games for the PS3 rising and Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2. These guys sure are going places. They've also been interviewed by the Washington Post. Thank you so much to SuperVegeta for the information. View: [First 5-Minutes of CommuteCast] Download: [CommuteCast Episode 5] |

Pox and Ragable are back with their MP3 feed, CommuteCast. It seems like the funny guys are expanding beyond the PSP and is covering stuff about other consoles in Episode 4.The 32-minute feed talks about the launch of Nintendo DS and the top 13 changes with Ninty's handheld console plus the latest Xbox 360 dashboard update. Even before the HD-DVD and Blu-ray flourishes, the two guys ponder about the question, "Is HD-DVD and Blu-ray dead?" in CommuteCast's latest release. Of course, there are still PSP news. Pox and Ragable talk about the possibility of having PSP Hacking 101 published in a book, the Dark Karnage Shell, and PSP's Brightness Hack. Surely, there's no need to say this is another 'must-listen-to' episode...but I'll say it anyway. Grab CommuteCast Episode 4 below...whether you're a PSP fan or an Xbox 360 or DS lover, you'll surely love listening to these guys. Download: [CommuteCast Episode 4] |
