Few things make a contest more exciting than having lots of entries against which to pit your own. That's probably why homebrew developer danzel came up with a new torrent client application for the PlayStation Portable entitled CTorrentPSP. If torrents are your thing, feel free to check out the details after the jump.Download: CTorrentPSP Download: CTorrentPSP source |

Thanks to numerous contributions from other PSP homebrew developers, dev Zx-81 has stepped out with PSPIRC version 1.0.6, an update to PSPIRC v1.0.5. This program will let you connect to Internet Relay Chat servers and chat while on your PlayStation Portable. It's got support for the Sprint PCS IR keyboard, and if you don't have one, it'll let you settle for the old-fashioned on-screen keyboard input. The homebrew application, coded with Danzel's IRC engine, was combined with Zx-81's UI for PSPSSH. IR keyboard support was added after referencing Harald Fielker's PSP IR Keyboard Library, and tested with a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard. So far only two versions are out: one for firmware 1.50 and another for 3.40 OE CFWs. Additions to version 1.0.6 include:

Since homebrew developer zx-81 mentioned before that he'll stop working on Danzel's AFKIM, we're quite delighted to find out that a new version of the nifty PSP instant messenger app surfaced. AFKIM version 3.3.0 brings new updates for everyone who love their IM services on the go.For those still scratching their heads in wonder, AFKIM (or Away From the Keyboard Instant Messenger) is a universal messenger client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, GTalk, and Yahoo!, among others. To get the most out of this convenient chat program, don't forget muse over the Readme files that come with the download. Aside from new design and other functions, here are some new features in this release (from the readme):

If you haven't tried any kind of tower defense game in the past, we highly suggest that you go find one and try it. It really is exciting given all the preparations and thinking one has to do. If you're planning to try one, you might as well check out Defence Station Portable (DSP) from homebrew developer danzel. What we have here for you is a new build of the game which brings DSP up to version 1.1. Take note that DSP isn't just any ordinary tower defense game because it allows users to create new levels and some other customization options. The following changes have been implemented since the first version:
