Another week's passed by in the realm of homebrew. The past seven days we saw update upon update for the more popular recent homebrew apps out there as well as a couple of new timewasters like the Daft Punk "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" soundboard and a new Etch-A-Sketch game. Here's a look back at the week in homebrew!

Here's something for retro gamers. Homebrew developer davex has released a new app that adds cheat support to NJ's MVSPSP, the NeoGeo emulator for the PSP. Details after the link.

Davex's mod of Notaz's PicoDrive emulator sees its final release today. Unofficial PicoDrive v1.35b R (Rewind Mod) has gotten a few tweaks to its previous version, with the ability to remap the rewind button being one of them.

SMS Plus dev uberjack has released a version of the Sega Master System and Game Gear emulator that implements an official Time Rewind feature. The rewind feature is a staple mod from DaveX that lets you "rewind" your current game without having to load a save state.

Looking to spice up your PicoDrive experience a bit? If so, you might want to take a whack at this PicoDrive mod from PSP homebrew dev davex that adds a Rewind function to the Sega Genesis and Sega CD emulator. There's more info after the jump.

Via DCEmu, we've learned that DaveX has released the source codes to some of the different versions of Snes9xTYL++, which you can download below.

Homebrew developer davex dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and happily announced that the owner of Sega Game Master PSP emulator, Mr Akop (aka uberjack), has finally allowed him to tinker with the program's code and add Rewind and Mirror functions (RM).

You've probably heard or even tried this very same functionality in NesterJ. But for the uninitiated, the Rewind function allows users to warp back in time (within the game, of course) without thinking about saving states.

The mirror functions, on the other hand, "mirrors the look of the game so a left-to right side scroller is now played in reverse. This is really a nifty addition to SMS Plus which was just upgraded to v1.2.3 just a couple of weeks ago.

Before installing this program to your PlayStation Portable units, kindly go over the Readme.txt file included in the download for more information and key mapping to trigger RM.
